  1. where is the diff physically? In the car? That might make it tough to get a long cheater on. How are you keeping the output shafts from turning? I'd say cheater as well, i have a couple of old curtain rod piping that i use, makes things a lot easier.
  2. You should! Everyone was way cool about my V8 Project, not like my local guys that were like DON'T! Bunch of cool guys. Funny to watch them give eachother hell.
  3. Went to the meet last night while I was here in Huntinton Beach w/ work. Pulled in behind this slick silver 240, started talking to the guy and come to find out that he is a vendor for the company I work for! Small world, super nice guy, John Williams. He's got a machine shop, makes parts for the company I work for as well as all kinds of Z stuff for MSA. I heard mention severl bigdogs on this site, Mike Kelly, John Coffe as well as some others. Being at the meet really made me 'feel' the Z community! I had a really good time Won a shirt and a 350 Z model for guessing the right number of red lights ran and number of up and down shifts made in that Ferrari through Paris video. Saw some slick cars, and met alot of nice guys. One guy had a little 1200 coupe, primer black, it was sweet! I'm going to look for one when I get home, said he was getting 35-45 MPG. Thanks for the heads up BARTMAN! Had a great time
  4. Watched this last night at the local Z meet on VHS, won a shirt and a model for guessign the closest on Red lights (15) ran and total count of shifts (115) Those were my guesses, not sure of the actuals
  5. Since my post was VERY last minute! I'll be heading on over the fudruckers and check out the locals I wonder if they have a prize for the longest distance traveled? Hope to see some of you there. Thanks Bart!
  6. In HB tonight, was wondering if anyone was close or had plans? shoot me an email @ william.ghere@bakerhughes.com Would love to see some of the local hybridZ I wish i would have known i was going to be out here sooner. found out day before yesterday, didn't get in untill late last night and I'm leaving around noon tomorrow. Just thought i'd see.
  7. There is alot of aftermarket support for that engine, adn guy's are putting out some sick amounts of power. It was my initial chioce for my Hybrid swap. (the simplicity of the SBC won me over )
  8. What size wheels/tires do you have on there? Car looks great!
  9. Agreed! Looks great! Keep it up.
  10. They did post alot! Couple others too taht will not be mentioned. Let it ride, I kind of enjoyed not missing 200000000 threads being on vacation last week There is PLENTY of info just waiting to be re-read in these halls!
  11. We were in Hawaii (Kaua'i) last week and the guide book said to visit the old island junk yard, check these out. This is what untold years of soaking in the ocean will do to your engine! I found these kind of fun and interesting to check out and thought I'd share. BTW, if you've never been to Kaua'i, its the island to go to when in Hawai'i. Very little comercialism, largest town is probably 5,000 people, everywhere you look is lush and wild. Very cool place. Oh, and if you think you know what the blocks are be my guest! I think they are too far gone to ID. An old L? A once possible mill for a hybrid swap? This one was FUSED to the lava rock, it wouln't budge at all!
  12. Thanks guys, and just so you know I did search for the E3 so BLAH! I've been around long enough to know that much!
  13. Looking around and I really have no clue as to what I should be using? Running a Edelbrock '400' cam, 650 carb, HEI dizy, performer RPM heads and intake, any suggestions? Have square port shorty headers... Are this another gimmic? Anyone use them before? E3 brand. http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/etp-e3-10.jpg
  14. interesting point JM...I wonder what it rides like? Cool looking non-the-less

  17. I just bought the 153 tooth billit FW from RAM performace to match my 10.5" clutch and pressure plate. Went on well, haven't fired it up yet or driven it but it weighs about 25 lbs.
