  1. my car with no mufflers, off the hook. just kidding. i think a 427/435 tripower vette at 7k with glasspacks is my choice.
  2. went on a predawn mission this morning, testing the car around town. damn this thing is loud as hell! no pipes beyond the trans mount, at least theres not smell. bolted up the weiand manifold last night, didnt really notice too much, but its looking real clean though! didnt break the tires loose from a standstill yet, but i went wot thru a couple gears, and the polyurethane mustache bar bushings and control arm bushings really make a difference, and the ride is a lot smoother, no banging between gears, i relocated the diff to r200 position, ride is really smooth. took the cable off the diff for now may put it back on just for insurance. i made a new arrestor strap out of nylon tiedown and installed an energy suspension bumpstop and made sure it had preload when i put diff in my shimming in until it was sufficient, man the diff aint goin nowhere, also rethreaded everything to take 3/8 24 bolts(grade 8 everything of course. its ridin great. people are covering their ears when i pass them, kids point at me, and now the imports wont even look.....need to put some mufflers on it soon, man its cool, sounds like nascar at wot, shoot sounds like nascar at 2500rpm!!!!!!! give me a couple more trouble shooting days at half ass, and im taking it to sears point this wednesday. oh what a feeling.

  4. car is loud!!!!!! at wot its pure bliss, and the exhaust stink went away! ha ha. im taking her on a couple dry runs, next week or so imma start wagin war again...

  7. make sure you get the hei that has a vacum advance on it, not electric advance. i made the mistake and pulled one out a jy for 35.00 but it was elec adv., but now i may be going efi, so im happy again. hei does make a difference in spark, put a hot coil on it and its more jumpier than the pertronx point delete i was running, revs scream past 5500 now, before it would lag out at that range, may have had a tired coild as well in that old setup though, im bolting up my weiand stealth manifold as we speak, lets see if ican get power to 6k!!!!
  8. panas cost too much, the wheels shown were really cheap, at a 16x7 it would be probably like 150ish a rim compared to the 200+ pana wants, plus the only 16x8 in the fs series were for miatas with a 40 offset and 4x100 lug pattern, crap crap. most of the hachis here have the 4ag-e 16vdohc motor, gutless but nice broad powerband for drifts and what not, had a couple "13" second ones try to test me. yeah.
  9. anyone ever fab up a mechanical linkage hd ebrake cable, i wanted to make one strut bar thickness material with spherical linkage, for when you really gotta go hairpin???

  11. i like em. i can find em pretty cheap around my neighborhood, usually 1500 range.
  12. is it a 4v or 2v, if 2v whatever its cool, 4v and you have the potential for some superpower, that thing is nuts, big block heads on a small block, that sucker is the only ford motor i would consider putting in my car, its a good one, build it up and you can spin it 8500 like a psycho!
  13. just polished the tpi intake on my firebird, in the car the old fashioned way. im slowly deleting all the emissions equipment as we speak and learning what is what, its still a pig though, but fun. its the posi man, posi. posi. i plan to use the stock harness if i can, really clean up the intake and possible powder coat it gunmetal or good old hugger orange, and drive it out to work out the bugs, then possibly swap the manifold out for one of those stealthrams, maybe.

  15. i was checking out club4ag.com and they put on to this website for rims that will fit old corollas which is the same bolt pattern and offset or similar to the s30s and i found thesse http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_subcategory.cfm?CategoryID=1&SubcategoryID=25&SubcategoryName=2002%20OLD%20SCHOOL but they only come in 13 and 14 inch sizes, maybe we could get together and make em make some 15/16x8's????? aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  16. if it werent so fun making my red devil run so good id be in some bonified detroit muscle car, like a 65 nova, a chevelle, a skylark, or my favorite THE VETTE. the vette is what i think a z car could only wish he could be, true you can mod up a z to beat a vette, but you can mod up a vette and vanquish a z, and just about anything else in the straights and in the turns, and i mean just about any vette is capable of this. true some vettes are not built like others, but the potential in the chassis is always there in any c3-c5, one of these days imma have my vette, but right now ive got my zette, and im not mad.

    eh, yeah the guy or gal is misguided. my girl caught me talking a load of smack about the same thing, and her theory is they, they are making the most of what they have, and what they cant do mechanically they do with labels and stripes and the like, they are just trying to have one. me, you put that in the public eye and you get different sentiments, hey you wont catch me putting a type r sticker on anything, maybe a small reference to gm but definitely nothing that i dont have.

  19. if i wasnt such a cheapass i would be lt1'n my ass off, with the four speed or a 700r4, i get em for pretty cheap. hey does anyone know if a muncie/t10/dn4+1 bolts to an lt-1, call me a weirdo and a caveman but those are my favorite trannys HANDS DOWN.
