  1. Im in, time to ditch the distributor and ECCS!! Just got Haltec, they are hooking me up with dyno time couldnt beat it.
  2. Tpi has trouble with over 5000 rpm stock and can be modified to have less trouble with 5000rpm, Lt1 can buzz 6k or so and its easily modified to go higher. More hp stock too. I would go Lt or Ls1
  3. Thats a good deal. My biggest jumpshot was the running donor for 160.00 and the complete L28et spare engine with accessories sensors harness and turbo at Pick N Pull's 69.99 complete engine day! I would pay 150 for any L28et, blown to bits doesnt matter, its a good price for a good engine.
  4. [ and no, I'm not trying that on my nuts. Oh cmon, just a second or two. I love harbor freight, I swear the prices are so cheap that the steel that the tools are made of should cost more by the pound than for what they sell it for.
  5. Sorry Afshin, I have to go back tommorow for the z31 stuff.
  6. Looks like Ill be running one, I hope it does doughnuts.
  7. Go get 700 for it then, its very possible, they only came in 2 years of a 29 year run of that style r200. It is alot and I would go with a new clutch pack vs. it, but its not unrealistic.
  8. Just stick to picking on the NA porsches like I DO, and youll be ok Dale. 911 turbo, not YET...
  9. Yes, the cold start stuff is good if its really cold out. It doesnt get that cold in Northern California.
  10. The local Wrxs wont even try it with me after the last time I went down to the local street races. Last time at the track I pulled my best ET taking down an EVO. The non STI wrx guys are scared of blowing 1st gear, so they launch softer. An STI though, YIKES....
  11. I used the turbo manifold, and am prepping another turbo manifold right now with the egr cut off and welded shut, with nothing but vacum ports and pipe plugs. The later webbed intake is safer and lets less hot air get to the injectors, which is a plus for me. I do have to prime the fuel system before I hit the ignition (aftermarket fpr), but it starts up and idles very well.
  12. It will cure exhaust smell if you have some coming from the engine bay. I use two innners and one outer, just because I had two to use, makes it really quiet in the car.
  13. very noticible, I use two inner shift boots from 82-3 zxt with the zxt outer noise gone.
  14. Straight bolt in, tested it out in the junkyard and many other slaves from nissan bolt right in too. 11/16 was perfect for me.
  15. Before I fixed a leaky fuel line, I was getting so rich at top end that one of my tailights is now permanently darker than the other one
  16. Are ford powered 240sx's welcome to contribute, my buddy will dang near pop his tires for the video.
  17. I got fed up with the same problem and used a 11/16 84 200sx NA slave cylinder, complete disengagement stock pedal height, tiny bit stiffer, but now it works right.
  18. I know a couple of the older hot rod guys in my old neighborhood used to have panteras, and they have similar stories of how the police would pull them over a lot, and they finally just got rid of them. Supercharged 351c with dual sidedrafts out the trunk(hood?) is awesome.
  19. LET ME!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive done webers, v8s, and now BOOST...
  20. L series 6 same on engine 280zx engine placement may be different due to engine bay/chassis difference trans mount is same but xmember different
  21. When I did 240mm flywheel swap into my car, I bought a new T/O hub for a 2+2. When I pulled the trans out, the t/o hubs were identical in height in every way, I used the new part just because it made sense, but I really didnt have to in hindsight. The BW hub should work and the BW t/o should work, im not sure if its same clutch fork though..
