  1. They are located underneath the thermostat housing(Where the radiator hose connects to the engine) . You will see three connections under there. The smallest the water temp SENDER(for your gauge) the other two are your sensors, the bigger sensor is the thermo time switch and the other is the water temp sensor.
  2. Actually the water temp sensor tells the ecu what the water temp is so it can adjust fuel enrichment. Its the thermo time switch(bigger sensor next to the water temp sensor) that activates the cold start valve. If the engine is below 60 degrees the cold start valve starts to open IIRC. But like he said, download the EFI bible. I had the same problem. My car would take multiple cranks to start and it turned out to be a bad ground and those two sensors. Ive never had a cold start problem since.
  3. I need a replacement turbo for my car. looking for something with minimal to no shaft play. I really just needs something that will be reliable so I can start driving again.
  4. Can you give more details, have you tried spraying in starter fluid to see if it will start. Are you getting spark/is your timing right?

  7. Well thats a much better price, I still wouldn't buy that one but I do live in Cali so I have much more to choose from. If I were you, I would check out the car that hoov100 said he'd sell you first. the car on ebay doesn't look like its in the greatest condition. probably has a bunch of rust that we cant see in pictures...

  10. There is someone that did it on here, cant remember what to search under. But I agree with Empire, I really dont see why you would change the dash to the s14 unless its purely to be different, If you had a 280zx I could see why, but the s30 dash is a really nice looking dash. It just seems like alot of work to change something that already looks good to just a very plain looking dash. My friend with a s14 is thinking about taking his dash out and putting in an s30 dash.   11. If your new to riding I would definitely not get a 9k bike. I dropped mine within the first 2 weeks I had mine, it would just be a damn shame to buy a new one and have something happen to it. My first crash was due to be inexperienced and me being on a road that I didn't belong on. If I were you I would start with a 600cc. I have had one for 6 months and Im not tired of it. Make sure you invest in some good saftey gear as well, this isnt somewhere you want to go cheap. The thing I like most about mortorcycles other than they are cheap, fast, ridiculous gas milage, can park anywhere, traffic doesnt apply, you look awesome and girls love em, and easy to work on is cops seem to leave me alone when im riding vs. my car in which I get pulled over every five minutes. I think you should go with a japanese bike though, from what ive heard from other people is that ducatis are way more expensive to fix even if you do the work yourself vs. japanese. But if you have the money, then it doesnt matter. Just be careful.
  12. I found the problem, I took the bleeder screw out and looked at it, turned out the little hole in the screw was clogged up. I cleaned it out and the caliper is pumping fluid out now.

  14. I am trying to get my system completely bled. Everything is fine up untill my front right caliper(if you are sitting in car). my left caliper is getting fluid and everything, but the right seems to not fill up fluid into it. When I unscrewed the line going into the caliper I get a constant drip of fluid coming from it. So i know fluid is going through the lines all the way up to the caliper. But when I try to pump the brake, fluid just oozes out very very slowly. Why isnt fluid going into the caliper, could there be a clog in the caliper?
  15. Well I already had him do it, Still didn't trust the guy but I said what the heck, it'll be easier to just get it resurfaced anyways. The head was from my original block that been sitting in my garage. I took it apart, everything looked fine and I put the block back together. Reason I feared it was warped was because the engine had over heated on me a couple times like over a year ago.

  17. Okay so heres where im at, I found the power was draining from my ignition switch. turned out to be coming from the fuel pump wiring(I have a turbo swap). So the constant power wire going to the fuel pump relay is where its comming from. I tried taking the fuel pump relay out but the battery still drains. This wire hooked up to the constant power is also connected to the green wire on the fuel pump relay, so I think the problem is comming from that wire? sorry if thatw as really confusing.

  20. Did you get the Ecu, AFM, the thingy to make the tach work, maybe the cv's, the coil and ignitor, fuel pump relay...? Just making sure before you toss it.
  21. I took my head to a shop to get it checked to see if it was warped. The guy told me in the middle it .004 off. Do you guys think I need my head to be resurfaced? I never gone to this guy before so I dont trust him either.
  22. My battery keeps draining when its turned off and well, im not sure where to look. I have replaced my alternator with a 280zx turbo alt, and at ilde my battery is at 14.XX. So i know its charging fine. I tried by taking some fuses out and it keeps on drawing. I have taken out the entire right side of fuses and the battery is still losing power. I cant vouch for this battery so is it possible if a battery isnt good it can just lose its charge by itself?
