If your buying this car just for a turbo swap then its definitely not a good deal. The engine has over 200,000 on it. the turbo is shot, and who knows what condition the rest of the electronics are in. I would just piece together your own parts to do the turbo swap. you would get alot more for your time and money IMO.

2nd that, when I put my carpet kit in the same thing happened. and it was on a turn and I was in a low gear. I was able to push my clutch in quick enough before I got to much speed.

I have a hoarding problem also, I bought a turbo coil and igniter at the JY for $5 without intent to sell it or really use it. Its just sitting in my garage as secondary backup. I didn't need it but I just got it because it was a good deal.

Heys guys I was wondering. Is it fine just just throw on a lighter fly wheel? My first thought is that you would have to get the whole crank rebalanced if you put a lighter fly wheel on. Does it not affect the balance?

What have you done to this engine so far, any tests? Its hard to say if its the chain but it could be. Are you sure its not the fan. Have you taken the valve cover offf and inspected the chain.

You need the EGR to pass smog. If the guy notices you don't have a cat you also wont be able to pass.

Sometimes when im filling up at the gas station, or if im talking with someone and were next to my car, I always wish I had kept at least the rear bumper. I never really realized how much I used them till they were gone. I especially miss being able to sit on the while taking a break from working on the car...

I have those rims. they Came on a bunch of 260z's and the majority of black pearl 280z's and were also a dealer option IIRC. Ive seen people sell them for around $300 I think. Cant remember for sure. They are nice looking wheels if you polish them and paint the rest of them black.

I was at the junkyard today and I saw on the rack of rims three(may have been 4 and I didnt see the other) of these rims They were polished BBS rims, and it had printed on them made in Germany and Nissan on them. Anyone know ball park what these are worth. I was thinking about picking them up, I kinda liked them. I think they were 7 inches wide.

The 25yr law is some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ law thats prohibits cars from 1976 and up from being smog exempt in California for ever. Its just some other stupid law that california had to make to prove to all the other states how much they suck. If the States were in a competiton to see who could make the most laws, california would be #1

Have you checked for vacuum leaks. Was your car running fine before. Are you getting good spark at all the plugs?

Ive never used one so I dont know how much it really would heat up the engine, my my understanding the point of using a heater it to keep the oil warm. So I dont know.

hmm. Well if you need to get the car started really quick heres what I would do Iin the mornings so I could get to school, maybe it will work for now. I would take the cover off of the AFM, Then I would crank the car until it would start(for about 5-6 seconds like yours is) when it finally started/sputtered I would get out of the car and push the lever on the AFM slightley foward and hlold it there to trick the car into adding more fuel, this would start my car every time. Note. I would never touch the gas pedal at any point during this because the car would instantly die if I did. This wont fix your problem ofcousre, but im just trying to think of something so you can atleast get your car started for now for whoever is waiting on you so they can paint your car.

That is your water temp sensor, thats weird that it will only start if you disconnect it. So it started twice and idled, would it not start after that again?

Have you check the water temp senor on the side of the block? Also did you set your timing correctly, just making sure because in the pic above it looks like the dizzy was just turned all the way to the left.

When you turn your ignition switch from the off position to the ON position, it should prime for 5 seconds then shut off.
