  1. We bought posters and cheap frames to fit. Then we hung them all around his room. It was much cheaper than buying pre-framed stuff. He loves them and waves good morning and good night to all his posters! He is almost 1 year old now. He is our first and probably our only one. Although our posters are all animal themed, car themed would work well. He now LOVES anything with wheels. As a matter of fact, anything that has wheels get's turned over so that he can play with the wheels and the axles. Pretty soon he is going to start taking stuff apart and modding it. I can see it coming already. Congrats! and Good Luck!
  2. The show was "Redline TV" and the episode was "GT Live Utah" I am pretty sure that was the episode. It's supposed to air again Sun, Jan 6 11:30PM eastern.
  3. I don't understand all the celebrations with vehicles that get 30mpg these days, but my 1990 Civic used to get 41mpg regulary and I didn't have to add sheetmetal and rivets to do it. This is not BS, I used to watch the mileage closely. My commute at the time was mixed 20% city / 80% hwy. Gas was 89 cents/gal in NJ. The rated horsepower was 60 at the crank.
  4. 20 years of working on the same Z and I now thoroughly enjoy my wine and cheeze...actually, beer and chips, but who's counting. My rat-rod days were in a 72 Alfa Romeo shoe box sedan. 'The very old days with no camera, no camera phone, no cell phones, no internet...and all that...so I don't have pictures to prove it.

  6. My Optima red top has been a good performer and seems to hold a charge better than my previous auto-parts store brands. My car sits for long periods of storage. The problem is that the red top portion of the battery actually has developed a crack in it. Optima wont warranty it so I am using it at my own risk at this point.
  7. Now that is funny. This is HybridZ. All of our Z's have 170hp here. As a matter of fact, mine has a 170hp motor also. It's sitting right next to the Z in my garage on the floor. Wanna race?
  8. No Z in the Northeast is rusty. When you go look at it again, assuming this is your first Z car, bring someone with rusty Z experience just to be sure. I WANT TO KEEP YOU FROM GETTING RIPPED OFF SO DON'T TAKE RUST LIGHTLY. Good luck. Where in NJ are you?
  9. Sounds like classic heat soak in the fuel rail. Two things to help the problem. 1 Insulate the fuel rail. 2 Make sure the fuel system is holding fuel pressure for at least a half hour after the car is turned off. On number 2, my fuel pump check valve failed and caused vapor lock. That's how I figured that out. Liquid fuel under pressure will have less tendency to vaporize.
  10. This is getting really technical. I like it. I think both Phil and I are running the 4-bar sensor on MS-II. Is the 4-bar upgrade available for older gen MS as well? (Answered my own question, Yes it is.)
  11. Don't bypass the Sigma lenses. Some of their lenses equal or beat the Nikors and Canon L series for about 30-40% less money. The lens is VERY important if you are really trying to get perfection. Here are a bunch of "high-horse" photographers. http://www.photoblink.com/ I learned a lot from that site, although it's a bit snooty sometimes, the photographers are excellent. Digital processing is also highly regarded there, which is my preference. After all, if you shoot digital and you don't process, you are letting the camera do half the work. Here is just a random example of the quality of work at photoblink. PHOTO BY DAVID HEMMINGS PHOTO BY Wim Lassche
  12. Do you realize that the last of the S30's turns 30 this year!!! Happy 30th to all the 78's out there.
  13. Yes it is noted on the MS website that the 4Bar MAP will reduce your resolution. On the other hand, mine runs, idles, transitions, fine with the stock cam up to 15psi. When I expand my table to higher boost, that will change....or maybe not.

  15. I have been running the 4-bar map sensor since day one. Phil, did you config Megatune and tell it that you are now running the 4-bar? You need to do that in Configurator. You might want to invest in some ARP rod bolts pretty soon. SEEE ATTACHED
  16. Personally, I think your monitor resolution is too low. That's why the photos appear so large. What res are you running? BTW, honey I shrunk the sig.
  17. Silver looks best in the rain or at dusk. As far as most desireable...That's a tough question that might be better answered by a poll at Z collector forum.
  18. Wow nice planes guys! Paul, glad you got your maiden out of the way and enjoyed it! I am waaay overdue for some air time. Maybe next weekend. I am going to install lights on my Easy Glider to open up some night flying possibilities.
  19. I know it's really tough to do, and it's going to get even tougher as Spring approaches, but I would leave it alone and tweak lightly. I personally would love to see you make a few very carefully selected changes to see how much more you can squeeze out of the setup. It's kind of like an F1 team trying to get that last hundreth of a second off of their lap time by tightening a screw down a little more. I think it would be more fun to push what you already have further and further while pushing your tuning and driving skills to the max. I know speed is addictive so I would also understand if you wanted to step it up a few notches and break down the walls with a major swap. However, I think there is more fun still left in your setup. Good luck with the decision!
