  1. Another one of Jimmy's secret projects... or did I just miss the group buy for this one? Very snazzy David, when does the billet 'Fairlady Z' come out?
  2. The picture is the car the body kit was originally from presumably. Not sure the make or model. He is the owner of the ZX you posted which he grafted that front on to. If you look at the page for the car club he's in you can see more pictures...
  3. HERE is the owners facebook page, why don't you just ask him? Edit: Looks like he retrofitted a body kit from another car, anybody recognize THIS car?
  4. Just thinking out loud, but has anybody considered going with modern all electric controls? I had to drive a rental Nissan Quest recently, and was impressed with how nice and tidy the A/C controls were... I've got no idea about the rest of the A/C components, but it might be worth looking at.
  5. Still not the one I was thinking of, but I found THIS while searching...
  6. I know there was a caged/swapped S30 with two gauges mounted on the cowl in a magazine 4 or 5 years ago... I've looked for you, but have so far been unable to find the article. I don't recall the specifics but I do remember it looking much better than I expected it too... I'll keep looking
  7. They don't exactly have the best reputation... Its been discussed before.
  8. Interested in seeing how this works. I've been trying to find a suitable fog/blinker or just fog light to fit where the 240Z's blinker goes...
  9. Still looking, THIS is what I plan on doing, so if you have a hub adapter that will work let me know!
  10. I've read this multiple times from multiple places, that's why I'm shortening the regular length MOMO hub... I don't recall seeing anyone here running a tilt hub, but I'm sure you could get the sizes from NRG and measure everything before buying.
  11. THIS is what I plan on doing to keep the steering wheel positioned far enough away with a quick release (standard length NRG). I'm using a flat MOMO wheel however... If you do this with a slim QR (or tilt) you might be able to get away with the deep dish wheel.
  12. The Ford Taurus 2 speed fan seems to be the fan of choice for many applications, including some pretty high power engines. You can get them cheap, and there are ways to wire the 2 speed function that doesn't require any switches or driver input (Google Volvo relay + Taurus fan). BluDestiny is definitely right, a proper shroud and ducting is worth much more than people typically expect.
  13. Been covered, but for the sake of having both nuggets of information in one spot... 280ZXT Oil adapter flow
  14. Oil coming from the engine is supposed to enter the top port, and return via the side port. Check THIS diagram for an illustrated flow path if it helps. It may work either way, but this could cause issues with the thermostat, so I would just plumb it properly from the beginning.
  15. I also have a cam with an extra number stamped on it, nobody has been able to tell me the significance.
  16. I found THIS method for shortening a MOMO hub. You lose the 'crumple' portion of the hub so this is probably best kept to caged/harnessed cars.
  17. Looking for a MOMO hub adapter kit (3503). I plan on chopping off the collapsible portion and machining the base to work with my quick release kit, so something bent up or missing the plastic cover piece is fine! Will probably just powder coat the base, so scrapes or chipping is also fine, so long as the spline is in good condition. Hoping to pay around $50, so let me know what you've got. I know about ebay already
  18. +1 I've got the entire front end of my STI done, (Subaru paint is notoriously prone to chipping) and it still looks factory fresh after many offload excursions!
  19. HERE is a good guide on safety wire technique. It's in reference to ultralight aircraft, so it should be more than appropriate for our on the ground applications!
  20. Keep us updated! I've been hoping for a lightweight affordable electric option to be found. Are they from the front or rear doors? What controls are you planning on using?
  21. He could use safety wire, although it would require he convert to bolts or drill the stud and use castle nuts. Safety wire may not hold torque, but it is designed to maintain it!
  22. MidnightRider, perhaps you could direct Classic Auto Glass Innovations to this thread and they could share what they've done in the past to make their product work? Also, if anybody has a decent shot of the windshield and hatch area without glass it might be worth posting so they have a better idea of what they have to work with. Seems to me they might have already addressed similar issues before. Hopefully I can get a 2+2 hatch version...
