  1. I think your fine on the iat considering if you have the open element air temp sensor (a must for turbo). I put mine there no issues it really reacts quick to air temp change.
  2. Big thanks to chickenman for helping him and others!
  3. Isn't he still running VR input? Switchback to Optical and make sure he has that resistor at #24
  4. No supras are low and need resistors/or pwm current limiting plus the connectors are specific to toyota. Madkaw is right on the ball suggesting to go high. 1 no need for resistors 2 play with pwm current limiting 3 more available and better pricing.
  5. 20 amps for injectors is really high! Have you sorted your timing issues? is it idling good?
  6. With a motor like that, I would definitely ditch the stock EFI system. You will make more power and the tunability is priceless. Why would you go fuel only ? its literally a couple more wires and you have spark 240sx TB bolt right in space with spacer (to allign linkage or bolts direct with shortened linkage or throttle cable conversion) These answer have all been beaten to death \agreed! Honestly, if you have been truly doing 3 months of research you kinda suck at research haha If ms2 is scaring you I do a plug and play harness system it's perfect for your situation. Check the group forum buy I am currently doing 4 already completed 2.
  7. I have a set of bc from the first group buy where can I get longer studs for the rear?
  8. How come your using fuel hose and not heater hose?
  9. All the harness's I send out are fully tested here is a just finished Full Package harness w/ MS2 built per spec (all software / hardware settings configured + basetune loaded) and ecu/mount. All hardware checks out Here are some shots and a quick video. Again the wires are not loomed this way: - you see the entire harness - route it whichever way you want - easier to put through firewall - loom and tape after you choose your path (loom supplied) All the wiring is labelled for easy install and all of them are sealed. CAS distributor wiring - - shielded wired paired in - amp seal connector TPS with connector CAS wiring GM coolant Temp IAT sensor EV1 quick release Fuel injector clips / sealed Coil Terminals + and - crimped and soldered - heat shrunk (adhesive kind not th
  10. Your name doesn't help lol sorry I could not resist. On a serious note though I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU COMING FROM. Believe or not when I first did my turbo swap (more than 13 years ago) I had to deal with the ancient efi and it gave me hell. There was a lack of support online and locally at that time. I spent almost 2 years off and on trying to get it to run. I jumped into ms2 and never looked back. Dont get me wrong it was a steep lurning curve but now I am very comfortable with it. This harness is perfect for you. I sent you a pm so I could get all your info.
  11. 1. Open your ecu and see what ignition its setup too. 2. If your using the high current driver I linked all the diagrams pin 36 will go on - of coil, + positive side will get ignition 12v switched. If this was a bolt on pretty much setup using his FricFrac harness and he already setup your ecu ( Ive seen his works looks great just follow his stickers on the wiring) its a no brainer hopefully.
  12. Looking really good! nice exhaust tone and even nicer shop you got there. Very jealous of your work space. Why all auto meter except the Speedo ?
  13. if you said FricFrac did your wiring and setup your ecu maybe you should contact him? And remove any suspicions to how it was built.
  14. First off wire the distributor if you havent or check your wiring, 3 wires 12v , ground, pin 24 ( tach in )splicing into it 1/4k resistor from 12v . look at this diagram Here is wiring depending if you are wiring from round plug or after if you happen to have. YES the board hardware jumpers also has to be setup for what type of CAS AND YES you have to put the setting in the software part. You could run the stock wheeled dizzy and coil then fire out with high ignition out from ms2 to drive the coil out lined here. https://www.diyautotune.com/support/tech/install/nissan-datsun/megasquirt-your-280zx-turbo SO if your going to run the DIY wheel follow the hardware and software setttings in this page per your setup! They are many variations from ecu 3.0 vs 3.57 to how you will run your ignition out single / wasted / cop sequential https://www.diyautot...n-trigger-disc/ Goodluck
  15. What is the point of standing on the car id be really pissed with finding that out the next day! Lucky enough for you that you did some nice private eye work.
  16. Did you put the 1/4 resistor? Also I do remember getting frustated with zx dizzy and trying to get it properly dialed. Funny thing is also mine ran better in VR then I just went EDIS. At that time diyautone didn't have the optical wheel I'm from the recent comments Matt Cramer meet sounds like it is almost and necessary (ms2 cant process that high resolution) I dont know if your running it buts its a worth a shot. However a VR sensor has only 2 wires coming into it and typically a Hall has 3 so I would still attempt to make the Hall work as it should.
  17. Any update on this I am curious to see if that was the issue?
  18. Hopefully this seems like your issue your missing another 12v+ switched signal to distributor. Thats why I said run fresh wire and look at the diagram. You only mentioned two. One of them you have at pin 24 with resistor good! There is another 12v+ switched . ALSO Make sure your 12v signal is also getting power in the run and I will mention it again please run all new fresh wire you can tap into 12v from + fuel pump relay. Distributor Wire Colors dizzy wiring pin 24 gets 12v through a resistor but the B/W also gets 12v now depending where you are tapping the CAS wire colour may be different also if its 300zx could be different. If thats all fine and dandy I would triple check your jumpers once more and make sure your seeing instructions for your board. ON DIYAUTOTUNE they have them for all the boards. ignore anything 3.0 since you have 3.57 Using the MS-II PCBv3 or V3.57 ECU Build the ECU up to trigger from the Hall/Optical Input (all of my MS230-C units are by default configured this way). For a V3.0, connect TachSelect to OptoIn, TSEL to OptoOut. For a V3.57 board, put JP1 in the 2-3 position and J1 in the 1-2 position The only change is to enable the IGBT High Current Ignition Coil Driver Circuit to directly drive the coil. Remove the jumper from JS10 to IGN or the center hole of Q16 (if exists) Jumper IGBTIN to JS10 Jumper IGBTOUT to IGN (V3.0 only) If you do not have a BIP373 transistor in the Q16 slot, install it. And please if you haven't done this already get rid of everything CONNECTED from the stock ecu system I MEAN EVERYTHING!
  19. Ok I didnt read the whole thread just here and there. If your not getting spark but did before its most likey some recent changes you made. However, I belive you need to take a second look at you cas wiring. You mentioned some factory wires still running there. I would look there and run fresh new wire all the way to ecu. 12v switched, signal from.pin 24 I believe off the top of my head needs to come from ecu and 12v switched feeding into it with 1/4 resistor between. and ground to engine.
  20. Thanks for the kind words really appreciate it. The ms and harness should be at your place first thing next week. Look forward to you receiving and reviewing the package. This is the place to be if MS and s30 are new to you. The amount of knowledge in these forums are priceless, you learn just by viewing and creeping around. Plus the guys here are more than willing to help as long as you search first.
  21. I cant wait either to do an ms3 pro custom harness with individual coils. Plus that Moroso switch panel will be effin sexy. CONFIRMED ThatOneZ 2sixtzombii
  22. @AARANG I could load a tune and all ecu parameters for any specific setup. @thatonez pm me all the details so we dont flood this thread. We need 2 more guys to jump in on this
  23. Since you have the ecu I could build you the harness with all plugs and sensors. I have two versions of the harness if you check the group buy forum Also could do the hardware and software mods for ecu. That way it would be a complete drop in setup.
  24. Thanks Leskinen, not most but all the sensor are included to get up and running. I just finished bench testing ecu/fuses/sensor and relays everything check out. The new owner should be receiving very soon. All he has to do is wire 12v batterey, switched 12v , ground and set trigger angle.
