  1. That little vaccum cap you have on there near the T stat area will fail eventually, beware. Might wanna weld that one up. I have had several of those things fail!
  2. Will be interesting to see what is underneath. I wonder if he wants to blast 2nd so he has the same "tooth" to work with when it comes to paint. Evan
  3. Jesus christ, I am also glad his stupid ass didn't shoot your dog. So he was in your house? or on your front porch? Rude awakening indeed. Glad to hear you didn't get hurt. Evan
  4. Lmao, dude this post was from freaking 2002. I wouldn't rush back to check it out.
  5. I actually started laughing hysterically at work when I read this; • Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in' examples, I will undoubtedly draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot. Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an attorney and said "Yes that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies".
  6. Jesus, that is awesome. I was horrified to see the sawzall on the roof LOL.
  7. To quote caddyshack.. "top notch! TOP NOTCH"! Awesome car.
  8. Still no mapping yet, my boost controller crapped out so I installed my manual boost controller. No surge at 15 psi, no surge at 17 psi but the surging starts at 20-21psi. Ill get some maps tomorrow hopefully. I haven't had a place to go all the way to redline safely. The surging is very visible on my boost gauge, the bouncing needle is pretty apparent. I don't think my bov is sprung too tight because I can make it open by gently closing the throttle under 5 psi of boost or so. Car feels very slow at 20psi as well when it starts surging. Evan
  9. I know this post is very old, but thought I would update. The cause of the issue was...... Wrong W/G spring pressure! Thats right folks! I am an idiot. I was attempting to run 20+ psi on a 7 pound spring.
  10. I saw that at a bar the other night too! Very cool!
  11. Tends to be anyone who offers heaps of cash for a car they know very little about is a blowhard and won't pay up anyway.
  12. Its raining today, hopefully it clears up! WOT in the rain is a bad idea.
  13. My bov is very quiet anyway, not sure I could hear it. I can try springing it more lightly, its pretty easy to do with where I have it installed.
  14. It builds boost, but not very quickly. It is less related to rpm as it is to throttle position. Hang tight, I am going to go do a datalog tomorrow so I can illustrate exactly what the scenario is. Thanks guys.
  15. Wait it out, spend your time doing small things and lots of research. Renting a space away from home sucks bigtime for the most part. I would just hold out, waiting sucks but it is better than having to move a partially completed project all over hells half acre.
  16. Holy brainfart! Ill update the first post. RB25DET 2.5 liters. I thought for sure I had that in there. If memory serves, I have had this problem with two different BOV's in the system. My current is a forge motorsports bypass valve that hangs open at idle like the oem unit did. Evan
  17. Yeah, time to methodically re-evaluate everything. On your BOV, what was the actual problem? Sprung too tight, too loose?
  18. Tim, I am using an apexi' power FC. The logging is kind of granular, Ill see if I can log in some sort of graph type affair to show exactly whats happening. Evan
  19. Gabe, if I pussy foot the throttle no surge, but the second I wack it wide open it goes nuts. It will even do it at lower throttle openings. Seems the turbo is just wrong at this point.
