I am considering MSA's 4 or 6 point cage. My question regards head room. In one of the posts I found in one of my searches someone stated that there was not much head room for taller drivers. Has anyone eles come across this problem? I looked at 80LT1's Roll Bar and it looked like I would whack the back ouf my head on the cross bar. I want to put one in because I am replacing the original 1/4's with glass ones and want the rigidity. Any comments on other methods like strut braces etc. or different types of roll bars would be appreciated!!!

Wow!! That looks like an awesome deal. You can install that right into the R200 case? If I have been reading correctly my R200 out of my 75 280 should have a 12mm ring gear which is required for this application? Right? EDIT: After looking around their web site it looks like they have a 10mm vesion as well for the R200. Also that part is listed as you said for a 300zxt, there is THIS ONE (10mm) listed for the 280Z R200 I guess I'm confused ....again!!

Ordered a new plate today...sig pic...it will have to live on the truck until the Z is ready!! It will serve as a not so gentle reminder to get my butt to the garage and get it done!!

Hey Guy's, My buddy has a 90 something Altima that won't come out of Park. I suspect the interlock and asked him(have not seen the car in person) if fiddling with the key while trying to move the shifter worked. His reply ...yes. So I was wondering if anyone has has expieience changing one out. In the past I have seen the switch go bad by simply wearing down. Then other times the cylinder was bad. What is involed in removing a Nissan ignition cylinder. I have taken many out but never a newer Nissan. Looking for some hints before I tear it apart. Thanks!! Rufus

In answer to your sig...As much as I like the 300z it is not comparable to a 69 Camero. Probably opened myself up for a beating but...The Camero will have a much greater resale value down the road. Especially if you are talking about customizing the 300 to the point that it becomes worth something only to you and a very few others. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck!!!

Ross's arms are going to be about the same ammount as Arizona Z's. The MML arms will be all steel where as the AZ ones are Cromolly. Any opinions on which material would be better. Obviously the Chromoly is lighter and looks sweet. Both are fully adjustable "on car". Thoughts? Thanks

Just orderd a Miller. For the price you can not beat the quality. Do some searches on reviews for welders. You will find out the same things I did. Miller-Miller-Miller!!! MIG welding is not hard you should at least try to do it yourself. You (and your wallet) will feel much better about it than paying a body shop!! IMO of course. Good Luck!!! Course you could just cut a piece of plywood and screw it down!!! J/K datsunlover!!

Thanks for the link to the helmet. I am about to order my welder and was looking for a helmet that would not break the bank. I have a buddy who is a proffessional welder. I watched him once until then I thought his natural shade was red (his face) He uses a flip down and when he is just spot welding, he sets up , closes his eyes and turns his head!!! So his face is basically burnt just from the 20 to 30 spot welds a day that he does!!

So I managed to squerille qway 2K without the wife noticing so its time to spend spend spend!!! I have ordered a Rotisserie and am getting stripper/metal ready/POR-15 but all that is coming out of my account so no damage to the squerille nest!! I now need to decide what I want to get. Do I start with bushings, coil overs,rear disk set up and axles from Tim. Or do I buy a 2000 LS1 I found with all the goodies included..ecm/harness/AC/H2o Pump etc....? It is out of a 2000 Ram Air Firebird w/57k.
