this may have been talked about once before.. but take a look at some of the Suzuki and Yamaha sport bikes... they have some nice looking turn signals that might be mounted in that spot since they are usually of a smaller size.

My dad was a combat medic in the 101st.... i dont know if anyone remember the movie called "Hamburger Hill" but my Dad was one of the survivors of that little snafu. first time i think ive ever seen him want to go to a movie about Vietnam but we went to that one... he would point out characters and tell me names and stuff that happened and at the end of the film they credited two of his buddies as advisors that he had mentioned in the film... was very odd and awkward to talk about... As a Vet myself he has opened up a lot more but still doesnt much talk about it. I called him and talked to him after my first tour in the first Desert Storm and ever since then he's been very open about it. Sometimes when i see the difference in how i was treated and even the troops over there now are treated by civilians (even the ones who dont like them over there) and how the Vietnam vets were treated after coming home... its unbelievable and heartrending .

heres some family photos i finally got around to scanning in... these were taken about 10 years ago after my Dad finished the bodywork and painting of my brothers 240. He painted all these cars and did all the bodywork on his 260 and my brothers 240. the280zx is the one he walked me through on my first paint job..this is the photo the day after it was painted before i tinted the windows in all the other photos i have of it. the "Family" pic first. Moms 1986 300zx... non turbo but with the factory turbo ground effects. i believe this was the only year they did that.. Dads 260z... fiberglass ground effects all glassed in and glassed in flares and a 2 inch all steel cowl that he did himself on the stock hood. Bro's 240 that was orange with the white interior..back end was hit hard in the passenger corner.. the bumper was pushed up near the gascap from what he said. now its nissan white with black interior. and my posing with my zx right after paint. this was about 3 years ago. my first paint job.. only one run.. i was really happy with that lol. not bad for garage painting.

anybody have any weight info on a stripped(from factory)ZX to say a later model Z.. hmmm like a 78 z vs a 79zx?? i know my 79 is a LOT quiter than my 77 z and it does a more sedate suspension.. i reaize that the early z was better handling but ive never upgraded my suspension in my ZX. it seems its more secure and less quirky because its a heavier car.. but now im a little curious but it has a much better ride... quality wise then my z. im not talking about roughness per se but the whole in general seems better. car is tighter and not as jittery. and its a lot roomier. so i always figured it was a much heavier car.

i dont know why..but that made me chuckle =)

Heres a few pics my Dad dredged up for me to scan in ... no race cars but definatly old school. His 61 vette that had the hard and soft top. had a factory hi-po 283 with solid lifters. My mom sold it while he was in Vietnam while it was on blocks for safe keeping to a friend for $200bucks... one of the reasons they are divorced im sure!! this pic was taken in front of a school in Bell gardens, CA in 67. and this was taken in 73 i think.. he wasnt sure on the date but this was his first SP11 and his fall from domestics to imports. His first Datsun!! This was taken in Muskogee, Ok where most people didnt have a clue what it was.

Its a brake caliper color from autozone... dont remember the brand. Just wanted high temp so the paint doesnt melt underneath and near the intake runners near the exhaunst. Hate those pesky underhood fires while driving =0)~

33 views and no responses... im starting to think im not loved =( no one has installed one of these TBs?? i havnt found any info on this TB at Webers websites except for the possibility this was used in VW's for an performance upgrade since the z and the older VW's use a bosch style EFI. any other clues out there people??

Here are some pictures of my n47 intake i ported with my dremel to use with the 60 cfm TB that was attched on a junk yard car. all that was there was the TB for some reason. All the linkage was gone and anything attached was gone.. was just the TB so i dont have any linkage or installation instructions. oh..it did have the reducer attched to the front so it will actually attach to the stock rubber inlet. i mounted the throttle body and used a felt tip to give me a close outline on the intake and got after it with my poor misused dremel =). i gave it a slight bevel in the porting so hopefully that will smooth the airflow but you cant probably tell with the cell phone pics. question 1. Is there anything else i can do to this intake to help with airflow? someway to smooth out the runners with just basic hand tools?? im not looking for weird possiblities just things that people have done to help. I realize that porting the intake around the TB is probably the only thing but figured it wouldnt hurt to ask. question 2. This TB is a 60cfl 2 4b . thats the stamping on the edge near the weber symbol. ive read a few threads that mention having this TB but does anyone of installation instructions?? or is there a installation exploded view online somewhere??? i cant find any other numbers on it to maybe call for instructions from weber. So can anyone point me in the right direction with installing this?? since it was already in a zcar im assuming it is the right type and has a TPS on the side already so it must have ran. but would really like to make sure to install this properly without a month of trial and error. it has outlets and inlet that dont match up to the stock TB so no real help there and im afraid so peices might be missing off the TB. hope you like the pics... that porting without air tools is a PAIN, but im very happy with the results. FIrst pic is a actual camera photo with everything attached. everything else is cell phone pic. 2 pics of Ported intake....dont have a before and after. hindsite is a killer TB as i found...this is the bottom if it was mounted on the intake...TPS is black blur on right. and a pic of the side where the linkage attaches but it different from stock?? wire maybe? This is obviously inlet without the reducer and a pic of the reducer

phantaz replied to big-phil's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
Hey PHil... looking at the engine pictures in your car..im curious.. do you not have a radiator fan?? or you running one of those elec waterpumps? looking good and makes me want to turbo one of mine ... guess the only way to learn is to jump in. -
ever since the 10.1 mp cameras starting coming out... the 6 and 8 mp camera prices starting falling.. you can pick up some really outstanding 6 mp cameras now for a great price... amazon had some great prices a few weeks ago.. now that ive said that.. i just used my Bro's new Sony Alpha and man can it shoot.nice lens, simple, lightweight, and on action mode it can take some seriously quick shoots with almost no loss of quality.. good for kid shots. but it was around 800. my 6mp konica with adaptable lens mounts was only 349. and shoots just as fast but battery time is albout 3/4 what the sony is. just not as many options with this one. once again as mentioned several times .... it price vs function.
