Have you tried rebuilding the AFM? Basically you move the wiper to an unused portion of the carbon track and you should be good for another 30 years Did you test the AFM at it's connector or through the harness?

280ZXT Test Mule not project project....
FricFrac replied to FricFrac's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
I made an adapter to plug the MS3 into the stock wiring harness. Right now I've got the stock harness and all my rabbit runs for the Wideband O2, etc pulled out and I'm building a custom harness for this car, my NA and Yasin's car then I'll also be offering a full harness kit that will plug into the stock body harness and allow you to plug and play with Mega Squirt on the S130. The stock harness is poorly engineered as far as I'm concerned so the new one will be very robust to EMI noise, etc with proper grounding, etc. I've spent a LOT of time developing it and I'm getting close to a final product that will support a stock turbo setup as well as the option for sequetial injection and crank fired or distributorless ignition as well. I've got the MS3 and the 3X daughter board for sequential. I've got a full set of LSx coil packs as well as the stubby Magnecore wires for a CNP setup. Motor is stock. The intake and exhaust (crush bent 3") are about all that is modded. I'm fabbing up a down pipe and a full mandrel 3" stainless but its a major pain. I wish we could get someone to make a mandrel exhaust for the S130.... -

MSA Victory S30 Rear Spoiler Fit and Feedback Pics
FricFrac replied to slownrusty's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
I just heard that somewhere recently. I'm warming up the spoiler bro. It's agressive enough - I don't like little lips - too subtle. This one you know its there. -
There are a few S130's listed in this thread. You can double check but off the top of my head Slownrusty is running 17x9 -13 and 255/45/17 Yokohama S-Drives front and 17x9.5 -19 275/40/17 on the rear. I'm running the same tire but 17x9.5 -19 on all four corners and 235/45/17 front 255/45/17 rears. We both had to roll the fenders front and rear but the fitment is excellent. I think Yasin had some clearance issues with the 17x9 -13 and his custom coilovers. I'm fine with Tokico blues and springs but I'm 9.5 -19 on all four corners.

I had a question as a private PM with some concerns about the heat shrink and the glue melting out of it getting all over the heat shield and making a stinky sticky mess. I appreciate the poster not wanting to sabotage my thread but I'd like all comments posted here so we can develop this to be as good as it can be for everyone using the kit. That's the whole idea! I'd like this thread to be a resource for repairing your harness not just to sell kits but to figure out how to repair our old harnesses. Anyhow here's my response regarding the heat shrink I'm currently supplying - good to know info. "The heat shrink I have is a meltable inner wall rather than the hot glue old school stuff. It should be good inside an engine compartment. Great pointer though and something to watch for. The engine bay may heat it up enough to make it soft but it shouldn't run. Most heat shrink you can score and heat it up and it will split where it's scored but this stuff won't. I appreciate you sending me a message but feel free to post in the thread. I want this to be the best kit I can make it and it comes from questions and feedback like yours!"

I'm running the 17x9.5 -19mm offset on all four corners on 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 Yokohama S-Drives with no spacers. You do need to roll the fenders though. Rent or buy a proper fender roller....

Rota RB-R for the win! I really wish Rota would make another wheel with the same offset...

1. Yes - how will the EFI know what the temperature is? As TonyD stated there are two senders - one for the ECU and one for the gauge. For the oil the switch is a safety and the presure transducer is for the gauge. 2. Measure it then you'll know if they are different or not. Since the temp sensor is dedicated to the gauge you can change it out. 3. I recomend putting the sensors where they will read what you want to display on the gauges. As we all know there is no "best" way to do this ;P

All will be revealed here.... Yes the Wonder Woman hood does exist (you know she flew the invisible jet - invisible hood.... ah never mind )

Who'd be interested if we made a L28ET trigger wheel?
FricFrac replied to Matt Cramer's topic in MegaSquirt
Just set it up like the diyautotune.com - same as Mobi's and it works great. The 1K pullup resistor is just giving you a reference to Vcc (+12V, +5v, etc) and the value limits the current draw through the resistor. A 330 ohm would work as well on the +12V but it would draw three times as much current.... -
Shadow Logger is still very young so not very flexible for displays but rock solid connection and logging. I'm hoping Phil adds the capability to display custom gagues soon. I've got it running on my Samsung Galaxy and it was a snap to get up and running and it seems rock solid (Galaxy/Phil's BT module).

EFI's Bluetooth module is fantastic - the range is amazing and it's plug and play. Works great on the Android phone!

I'm using GMC Ignition Coil 12558693 and I'll run a setup similar to this . I have connectors for the coil packs so I'll make up a connector kit and/or a harness for the LSX CNP setup. -
280ZXT Test Mule not project project....
FricFrac replied to FricFrac's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
Replaced the front fenders with some I pulled off a parts car. The parts car had side skirts welded to the car so I sawzalled the fenders and left part of the side skirt on the fender. I've got another set of fenders I'll put on the car but for now I've thrown the black fenders on and front air damn to see what the car looks like black and silver. Oh and I threw the hatch on from the black car as well since the shower of rust every time I closed the rear hatch was starting to get annoying. That didn't look too bad so I started doing some vinyl wrap on the doors... -
Awesome - my favorite S130! Love the car Yasin as always. You've got more aluminum there than the NSX's sitting around you Now we need to discuss a few things.... when are we gonna Mega Squirt that beast? Coil Near Plug setup and get rid of the Dizzy? Talk to me bro. I might know a guy that can do up a custom wiring harness for you Oh and I need those pics in High res! Quick (old) pic of my Yasin Inspired S130.... mmmm tires.....

I've got my 280ZXT running on MS3 v1.02 firmware. I'm mostly stock other than cone filter and crush bent 3" exhaust. It hasn't been tuned but it runs and idles great.

Lots of VG swaps here into S30s. Also check on the MS forum and search VG30ET....

BB actually has a tiny record inside her and that is why you can hear her - she's not hooked up to your speaker system. I just wired an old stock speaker and mounted it right beside her in the spare tire well. Check out the FSM for the wiring diagram - easy peasy!
