  2. I've parted out cars on ebay. The nice part is you get to keep all the parts you want and scrap what dose not sell.
  3. Thats why Hondas are so popular to tune. Look at the sales of first gen MR2's compared to the later year 2nd gens. Manufactures start off right and then "upgrade and improve" them right out the intended price range. I'm afraid that the days of lightweight RWD inexspensive sport cars are over.
  4. I feel ya on that one. Sad part is GM has all the parts and the platform to offer it. Take the Kappa platform (Solice, Sky), add a rigid roof in fastback form. Offer a turbo ecotec, a supercharged 3.8, and a LS2. Bare minimal interior and comfort creatures, t-56, limited slip independent rear end. If they approached it like Dodge did with the SRT-4 and offer different stages with warranty. Look at automotive history, inexpensive and sporty = massive sales.
  5. It’s a lyrical thing that has stuck since my first screen name in the 90’s. “Because I’m Wicked and I’m Wild, I’m WickedWild…†ICP (Insane Clown Posse) Ringmaster I think.
  6. I say go with the LT1 and then when the budget allowes stroke that!
  7. When I first saw this post I was freaked out a little, till I saw the date. I was having flashbacks of Hollywood starlets going under the plastic surgery knife for the thirtieth time. I remember waiting to see it in paint, Terry beautiful car.
  8. in this pic you can see... 2 RX-7's 1 Buick Ultra 1 YJ 1 XJ not shown 1 Cellica 1 CJ 1 K1500 1 280z 3 misc engines 8-12 tires 3 steering racks 2 rear ends And enough misc spare parts to fill a 2 car garage. All inside my barn. The Z is upstairs and it gets it's own room...
  9. Yea I admit it. http://www.myspace.com/101868983
  10. Awesome research man. Don't forget that you can always make your own mounts to fit exactly the way you want them.
  11. When looking though his past sales I see a number of high $$$ sales. Normaly scam men will sell low $$ items to build rep and then sell bs high $$$. Looks to be legit. You can look in feedback and check past items sold and it will list the winning bidder. You can contact past winning bidders though ebay and ask them questions.
  12. All I have to say is WAP We have one at each shop, one is 3 years old, the other 5. Constant everyday use through 20' of hose. http://www.ultimategarage.com/WAP.html
  13. So if i heard this right... Toyota engine, honda trans, nissan rear end. I like.
  14. I've used them before, work great. I've used the same gasket 3 times with no leaks. And that is installing wile the engine is in the car!
  15. This is what I've been working on, pic is huge so I linked it. http://www.terminaloverlowd.com/josh/jleetat.jpg
  16. Seeing that you want to take weight off of the nose I would look into the JTR and LSx. Your only options that don't require changing engine mounts are and LT1 or SBC in the Scrab position both of those are nose heavy.
  17. Quote: plan on taking the prius to the track soon to see what it'll do in the 1/4. I've been reading up on how to launch it. This is what I've came up with as the best way to drag race a prius based on only what i've read: - Charge the battery to full by holding the gas and brake all the way down till the engine shuts off. - Launch the hooptie in "B" mode because it will pre-load the engine to "launch" - Of course try to have as little fuel as possible I think I should be able to hit somewhere in the mid 17 second range. (hopefully) which is actually not bad. lmfao 17 flat is fast. This is worse than Hondas thinking 14 secs is fast.
  18. http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=16201&st=0 It's threads like this that really make me appreciate HybridZ.
  19. 72 Sonett Saab 2 on Ebay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Saab-Sonett-III-Model-97-NO-RESERVE-Rare-Classic_W0QQitemZ290005347585QQihZ019QQcategoryZ6438QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vintage-Satch-Carlson-s-Saab-Sonett-III-No-Reserve_W0QQitemZ170002298749QQihZ007QQcategoryZ6438QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. If price and quality are right I'm interested.
  21. You just asked five of the most popular questions asked by a newb. If you take the time to search all of those questions will be answered. You’ll want to look into the JTR (Jags that run) kit or make your own mounts. The $$$ spent is totally up to YOU, as well as where YOU get the engine, and if YOU need professional installation. Seeing that you sent the car in to be rewired an engine swap might be a bit out of your league. But if you take the time to search and learn what all is involved it can be accomplished. But the best advice I can give you is search and then ask specific questions.
