  1. I believe, that to get a reasonable effect from this wing, or any wing for that matter, you would need to be going at a pretty good clip......so for most autoxing, I would think the only effect the wing would provide would be mostly visual! What do you guys think? Tom
  2. They are most likely cast aluminum, IIRC. Tom
  3. Sadly, there are too many people like the fat chic in the video who should certainly learn correct handling of a firearm, before attempting to do what ever it was she was trying to do......and with her finger on the trigger! (dumb azz) Pretty funny anyway!
  4. Well due recognition Terry!!!! Tom
  5. The question I have is......what is your street bike experience level, if any? If your answer is none, start taking the bus or buy yourself a huge insurance policy! Just one man's opinion with 30 years of riding and racing bikes. Tom
  6. Appears to be a pretty cool little flyer and would certainly provide plenty of fun. However, as most people have difficulty just maintaining and controlling their car, I don't think this unit would be a good idea for these sort of people (general public)............it's an aircraft for gawds sake! And, with only an hour worth of fuel you'd better have your flight plan in order....if you know what I mean! All that said, I'd love to have one....anyone care to pony up the $50K??? Tom
  7. Just a hunch but, it may be a simple difference in tire pressures....right & left! Tom
  8. Just remember guys.....Guns are only as safe as the person using it!!!!! Tom
  9. Trevor, If you look again at the picture you posted of the GENERAL, you'll see these are not the same wheels.....not even close! Details son, details!!!
  10. Those are rusty wheels!!!!! Sorry, I could not resist. Tom
  11. Maybe a call to Dave Rebello might shead some light on the matter!
  12. Can't say that I know of anyone who has done this carb conversion but, the Mikuni carbs are very nice units.
  13. I highly suggest you do a little homework on aluminums before making such a statement. Tom
  14. Face skating.......that's putting your nose to the grind stone, so to speak!!!
  15. Can you say...Darwin Awards candidate? Tom
  16. Here's a couple of pics of my 1970....enjoy! Tom
  17. Can you say, restricted flow?????? This was discussed on another forum and one of the posters said they are not intended for long term use, only to be used after an engine or coolant system overhaul.....to capture any stuff left over from the overhaul. I'd agree on the short term use!
  18. Just a heads up for SoCal guys and gals, Ventura area, who are looking for someone knowledgible and skilled in fabrication work.....Check out "Full Scale Customs" just off Victoria Blvd by the 101 fwy. Owner is Troy Martin. Very good guy to trust your car with. Tom
  19. From my perspective.....it's not so much the accident that's a bitch, ususally because it over and done with so quickly but, it's the extended period of time it take to heal! Lord knows we've all had are fair share of smashed or pinched appendages. All I can say Terry is.....G_d d_mn it.....sh_t, fu_k, cr_p....etc., etc.!!!!! Tom
  20. Datman, thanks for the compliment! Sparky, the color is a Porsche red....can't remember the callout on it however. S30 SPL & Robrob, The wheels are manufactured by Altstadt and are a true 3 pc. (f) 17 x 8 ® 17 x 9. Offset is 35mm....I turned some custom spacers to accomomdate proper spacing. Regarding suspension mods...coilovers on 1 1/2" shorter struts. The rear springs are 8" free length (as opposed to the 10" ) and are required for the rear wheels to fit. Sorry for the late responce! Glad you like the old girl....I love driving her! Tom
  21. Yep, it's been proven that the spacers are not necessary. Proper installation and proper torques are all that's required, according to PRECISION GEAR, who has loads of experience! Tom
  22. Yeh, it's nice owning and driving a piece of automotive history! I live in Ventura County (SoCal) and generally only take the 240 out on weekends, for a spin through the local canyons and back roads. Darn near every time I pull in for fuel, someone comes over to look and usually has the old Z car story to talk about.....you know, either they or a friend had one! The funny thing is, as mentioned earlier, just about ever kid driving a modified car wants to dice it up.......just makes me grin! It seems most everyone loves the looks of these old Zs as I'm always getting the thumbs up while driving or a conversation gets started while I'm stopped. Gotta love it and it's great for the ego!!! We are special, aren't we!!? Tom
  23. Jon, If you haven't made a firm choice for seats yet, take a look at the SPARCO "SPRINT". They fit quit well in an S30, are low cost, and FIM certified race seats. Tom
