Not enough info to make a judgement on this additive however, in their literature they mention that the coating will typically result in a .002" build-up. Hmmmmmmmm....lets see, if this is true then this would reduce the cylinder bore by .004" !!!!? Think about that!

OK, now that you have the bike together, take it and yourself to a bike shop that knows how to set it up for you. In other words, adjustments made to the bike so it accommodates you correctly for pedaling efficiency and proper riding position. No use in putting your knees through hell!

A little technical correction on why a grinding wheel can come apart when loaded with soft metals, such as aluminum, is......The embedded soft metal expands from the heat generated by grinding and causes the wheel to fracture.

I believe many people just take driving for granite......! Driving is generally pretty easy to do but does require focus, which many violate by using cell phones, talking to passengers, fixing their hair, and many other things that should be done before or after a drive. We all need to remember, it's not just yourself involved while driving but everyone around you who is driving as well. It seems that plain old common courtesy has become exstinct and it's now all about the probervial me!!! Personnally, most so called accidents are not accidents at all but, just a lack of driving focus and in some cases just plain old stupidity! Let's all just try to be a little more cognizant of our fellow drivers. Having good SA (situational awarness) does prevent accidents.

Duke, If you go to the website you included as an attachment and look on the specification sheet, you will see that they offer custom offsets.

If your bearings are good and not like most old R200's....worn, then you can use them. The problem comes when you remove them from the open carriers....they can get damaged. It always safer, since you already have it apart, to just replace them....especially since they are fairly cheap! Cheap insurance!!!! Tom

So Jon, I'm very surprised you would call Precision Gear morons and stupid!!! So why didn't you use shouldered ring gear bolts and or use the right carrier....so, I guess it's safe to assume you are also stupid and a moron. Jon, I don't really think your a moron or stupid, I'm only trying to make a point about the un-necessary spacers when using 10mm ring gear bolts and ring gear on a carrier intended for 12mm ring gear bolts and ring gear. FWIW, When I went through this exercise I discovered that the bearings in these U-joints are a proprietary bearing, exclusive to Nissan only.....meaning only Nissan is allowed to purchase them. I checked the numbers on the bearings and found them listed in a common bearing cataloge with a foot note "PROPRIETARY". Maybe a letter to the right person at Nissan could allow us to purchase these bearings since its been quite some time since these car were sold. Just a thought to ponder. Tom

Guys..........If an R200 w/lsd can servive the rigors of the Baja 1000 without these spacers, it will surely survive in your street car....I think Precision Gear knows what they are talking about when they say the spacers are not necessary!!!!! Jon, this is not directed at you by the way! Tom

Wheelman, The ring gear bolt spacer issue has been discussed in depth previously however, when I purchased my LSD from Precision Gear I asked them what they recommend and what they do....Precision Gear has been building LSD diff's for on and off-road racing successfully for many years. What they told me was......"You do not need the spacers. We've installed many of these type differentials without using spacers, with great success. Ring gears are secured by the the torque of the bolts. When properly toqued, the ring gear will not move." I followed their advise! Think about it, if you make spacers and they are a shade too long, they will prevent proper torque on the ring gear....hmmmmm! If you make spacers that are of the proper length, then they will just float in place....doing nothing! Again, I followed the tried and true advise of certified proffesionals.....you make the call!!! Like guys are saying....its a PITA to put them on, you increase the sound level, and no HP gain (on a stock set-up). From the looks of the headers you are looking at, you are not likely to save your self much $$$....why, because those headers are pretty rusty and will need to be sandblasted an recoated...there goes the money you thought you'd save. If you really want headers, just purchase new ones....and if you have the additional cash, get the ceramic coating. Just my 2 cents! Tom

If you've never attempted this sort of fabrication....make your pattern from some thin cardboard....like the cardboard on the back of an 8x11 note pad. Its way easy to cut out and or modify. Once you're happy with the panel design and layout, transfer it to the material you want for a final product. It should be fun! Tom

Alex, I'm certainly not an expert on the subject but, you are correct about augmenting the life of the plug. These multi electrode plugs are nothing new, the aircraft industry has been using them in recip engines for a long time....just for the reason you mentioned. Tom

ShiroZ is correct! I have a set of the Magnacore KV85 wires and as ShiroZ said, the 2.5mm refers to the wire core diameter and 8.5mm the overall O.D. Tom

I took a slightly different route.......when I replaced my studs, because I needed 3" long units to suit my situation, I went with some MOROSO studs in 1/2" thread......worked out just fine with no mods required other than to enlarge the flange holes to accept the new size knurling on the MOROSO studs.
