  3. i think one person is doing it right now. do a search its been talked about alot. i personnaly would like to see it. was considering it for a while myself. I like the way a rotary souns with a big open external wastegate
  4. hey is it me or is there a face about 2 inches to the left of the muffler
  5. honestly youd be better off doing something with better availability. I did mine in japan where the parts are plentiful. I completed the swap in about a month. Alot of the others here have been working there swap for atleast 6 months maybe more. Dont start it till you are sure you have all the parts sourced. my car was a show quality paint. with no interior and runs low 11 sec 1/4 mile. im sure if i set it up for autocross it would tear that up to. i have well over 20K in my car maybe 25K. If you are really interested in a rb26 Z have at least 10K ready and maybe another 5 k for unexpected stuff like rust ;>
  6. well ive made my decision adn thats to just hold off and do a nine inch. so we will try again next year ;<
  7. im trying for one more attempt at a 10 sec run this weekend if i get one more issue worked out of the rearend . i will ask what it is for
  8. ok i swapped the input shafts and it works fine and everything fits like its supposed to
  9. swapped my input shafts around and they fit fine now
  10. Et @ 594 FT is on my timeslip just before 1/8 et and after 330 foot?
  11. I curious if any of you math wizzes can figure this out. i want to know what i should run on a 150 meter track here are my times 1.764 = 60 foot 4.88=330 foot 6.992= 594 feet 150 meter = 492 feet anyone care to work out this word problem stony can drive his car down the 1/4 in 11.3 seconds at 121 mph. his 60 foot time was 1.755, his 330 foot was 4.764 and his 594 foot time was 6.8. what time can stony achieve in a distance of 492 feet ????
  12. HMmmmmm something tells me that the aftermarket diffs are setup different ;< I guess i will just get my input shafts swapped
  13. if its for drag racing dont waste your time and money on the irs go solid rear..... i learned my lesson.... people said the same things to me and i was like im pretty sure i can get the irs to hold... well i was wrong... and im only at 400 rwhp
  14. i have been trying to get mine apart to swap them but they will not come apart and i dont want to destroy the input shaft trying. nobody here in alaska has the tooling to pull them apart. looks like i will have to send them back to the driveshaft shop.com to have them reassembled;<
  15. you think its the carrier???? BTW im in the same boat as BOZ. my axles do not fit right because they are setup the same way that i have in my stock r-200. for some reason this Nismo diff i have now requires the input shafts be reversed/?????
  16. aaaaaaaahh i had 3 separate 3 paragragh replies typed out and deleted them because they didnt make sense. sounds like i need to get with someone from nismo and figure this out.
  17. sorry i am talking about cv shafts. i had them made according to the different sizes of the halfshafts compressed and extended. i also measured the distances from the stub shat to the grease sela on the diff and one side is longer then the other. my problem is when installed so both input shafts seat correctly in the diff one shaft is almost fully compressed and the other is fully extended to teh point that it gets pulled out of the diff while driving (not all the way but enough to start slinging oil.) are you sure. this is how i have now, and they do not fit right. on the long side the shaft pops in and isnt seated against the oil seal and the other side goes all the way in but does not "pop" in and can be pulled back out easily????
  18. ok guys I apologize in advance I didn’t have time to search. I have to get my axle out in the mail today and had a question. When my axles got reassembled I believe they got reassembled backwards. I mean the left axle got the right input shaft installed and vise versa. What I need to know is which one goes where. If I remember right the shorter shaft goes on the left side with the longer input shaft and the longer shaft gets the short input shaft for the right side. is this correct? Thanks again stony again sorry for not utilizing the archives here but I just didn’t have time
  19. you will have to either make custom mounts that sit the motor really low or buy an aftermaker gtr style intake planum. the stock rb25 intake will not clear the hood with the zr200 mounts
  20. just sent you a burnout that had on video so you can see my line lock burnout.
  21. 18-20 psi, drive around waterbox and backup to the edge. i start the burnout in second gear 4000-5000rpm for 4-5 seconds. i would suggest a rolling burnout. again backup to water box throw it in second do not attempt to hold it back and drop the clutch at like 5000-6000 rpm. then floor it. this should heat up the tires pretty good. do not pass the staging line or you will get in trouble. I went a entire season running low 11s adn not breaking anything with the rolling burnouts and 25 psi. i started breaking things onces i started getting alot of traction. i was OK as long as i spun threw first gear.
  22. the diff is not the problem an r-200 is almost as big and stout as a nine inch its the axles and stub shafts that break. im kina half assed temped to machine the struts for even bigger bearing and have some custom big chromoly stub shafts made. but even after the the nine inch would be stronger over all
