Make sure you are getting the entire half cut. some places advertise a half cut then when you get it all that's there is the engine tranny and the portion of the car that was cut away. which leaves you with nothing but the shell when the motor and tranny are pulled. But if you getting the entire thing with things like lights wiring, gage clusters ect ect you can sell stuff to get back some money. But as mentioned above there are a lot of parts out there for sale. Also if your getting a full half cut make sure you get it running then test compression after a good warm up period.

  4. Havent tried that... seems this is a common issue for rbs on the dyno. i had the same issues with both my stock motor and my current motor. lost RPM right around 6K
  5. Progressive boost sounds like a good option for launching on non prepped street surfaces ;> along with turning nitrous off once a certain boost is reached. Im pretty sure the Vpro can do all that i just need to pay someone everytime i want to change something.

I'm selling the black car (racecar) and installing everything back in the red car like it was supposed to be from the beginning. the Vpro i currently have is tuned pretty well i just want to be able to do fine tunings at the track for different conditions. Plus i think there is still a lot left in the mid range. WIth what i have learned from assisting in the tuning of the Vpro if i can datalog all the required inputs my car is pretty much a rolling dyno at the track. make a run look at the log and make adjustments. thanks for all the inputs keep them coming

  9. ok whats the difference between the Wolf V500 Plugin Kit and the Wolf V4X Plugin Kit. besides 500 bux. Is it just the older vs the newer?

  11. Do they still have the memory chip??? you can have several differnt tunes by just pulling out one card and plugging in another. Wold 3d is one of the one at the top of my list.
  12. I want something i can tune datalog on my own. I know how to do it either at the track or on the dyno. just cant do it with the Vpro. no chips either
  13. Ok kinda getting in the market for an engine management system. I have read up on several different systems but want to get some inputs from others. I want something that will plug directly into the rb26 stock engine harness and control everything and have inputs for nitrous, control boost ect ect. also needs to datalog. anyone have any suggestions. I Also want to use all the stock sensors but don't want air Flow meters. Thanks for your inputs in advance.
  14. They do provide strength to the block... with that said i have been running mine (750+hp) without them for a while now and i know lots of people that have been running without for a while.

    Rb26 wolf adapter

    Hey anyone know if wolf sells an adapter plug to allow the stock harness from the rb to plug into the ECU??? Considering going with the wolf since it looks very user friendly. The HKS Vpro I'm using now is tuned pretty good but i just want have more access to tuning.
  16. Oh BTW i bought a miller 180 syncrowave tig welder. Im gonna do the rest myself ;> Labor is getting too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive.
  17. Well the car is home again. Now i have to make time to start finishing her up Im going to wait till i get the wheelbase where it needs to be and 1/4 replaced before i say the wheel offset is too shallow. But i think they may need a small spacer.
  18. Well i can feel you there. Most shops don't like to touch others projects. WHY?? If they blow it up, whether it was there fault or not Some people will go after them and expect them to fix it. So instead of taking the chance they dont even bother.

  20. Well ok ... im not trying to be an ass BUT really???? your trying to build a 1000HP car but your not willing to drop 500 on some dyno time. I can tell you from experience you will not get 1000Hp tuned on the street. if your lucky you will not blowup your engine. ♥♥♥♥ starts happening real fast once you hit boost and thats just at 500HP you will get one mistake at high boost levels and BANG!!! Take it to a dyno You will save money in the end.
  21. Got that too ;> miller 180 tig. just needed this done now and with my schedule wouldnt be done till nov ;< From this point on the red car gets touched by my hands only.
  22. Ran out of time. took it to the body shop for them to finish. dropped my original quote from 3K to 1800.00 so i was kinda happy about that.
  23. Christ go pay 300 bux and get it on a dyno!!!! and be done with it.
