  1. Bartman, that looks good. Will you be able to pull air from the cowl or is it just recirculated in the car.
  2. Please give us some fabrication details! That's really nice.
  3. If I'm not mistaken I believe a new ZX nut will lock without peening. Locktite might work, but personally I wouldn't trust it. I believe that MSA has the parts you need.
  4. Ok, patch 2 is better. Put me down for 2.
  5. I found the descriptions and examples easy to understand. http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/theory/align.html Please excuse the spelling mistake on the header, I'm challenged in that area.
  6. I emailed Dave and he is still working on the price. I'll keep in touch with him.
  7. That's not good. I guess I got mine just in time. That is a rather unique piece. I think that a whole aftermarket setup is a good alternative to the Datsun piece. I'm going to go vintage air sometime in the next year or so, possibly in the spring so That would mean I have an extra control valve available. How close are you to street time?
  8. Rubber insulation is needed to isolate it from the frame. If you don't then you will get a reaction that tends to destroy aluminum radiators. I don't know the reason why, but I got that info from JTR so I trust it.
  9. I have never delt with Zbarn, but they have the struts for 75.00 on their web page. http://www.zbarn.com/70to78/used_steering.htm Hope it goes better the second time.
  10. The other 7 are a breeze. Your prototype header must be different than the production one's.
  11. I think that one from Thunder was designed for the passenger side rear. Problem is that Sanderson put the tube too close to the plug and just putting the socket on the plug will break it. A thin wall spark plug socket will work if you grind down the ratchet end for clearance.
  12. Same here, I ground down a socket. If you want, I can make you one.
  13. I did the same but used rubber tubing as an isolator.
  14. That guy said he's ears were blown!
  15. Altanta's ok, but I'm planing on retiring to Maggie Valley N.C. Population is small, traffic is non existant, 3 hrs from road Atlanta and it's right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Housing is still cheep and its so quiet.
  16. Wow, a Jeep. That looks well aligned for such a traumatic experience. Looking good. So what's the plan, LS2?
  17. Very intrested in the dam and the spoiler. I have a 280, how long before you begin that work?
  18. 6.2L, aluminum block, 4.065 Bore based on the LS. Here's a thread to read about it. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=407931
  19. Looks good, I had planed on going this route but now I'm waiting to see what happens with the new Esclade blocks. Looks like a 427 would be easily done with that, stroke it big and go 455 with the weight of an LS1. They should be out next month.
  20. I just drive until I need gas, fill up, drive like H***. Gas mileage is anything from 8 to 23 depending on my mood. With the LS1 and 36 lb injectors, cam, 90mm TB all it takes is a couple of hard runs to 100 and you can watch the gauge go down. It takes fuel to make power, and I run it a little rich on purpose (Flash Scan Tunning).
  21. I like the big size patch, flat bottom, no internal Z. I'll buy what ever the group decides.
