  1. Transmission and diff should have the same angle. If one is different then driveshaft will vibrate ( the driveshaft oscillates from the front to the back). You will always get a little since the angles change when torque is applied. Look at some of the wild angles you see on 4X4's. Just get them equal. On the Sebring I was working on the differential was about 6" offset to the passenger side, but if the angles on the transmission and the differential are the same then no vibration will result (within reason).
  2. I say delete the ratchet and replace it with a cordless drill and walla electric windows.
  3. My fume problem was definitely solved by patching up around the license plate light.
  4. Notice that there is never anyone in sight in broad daylight in any of the pic's. Hummm, does it stink? Is it too bright and everyone is protecting themselves from the damaging ray's? Hey, become a bread delivery guy for some extra buck's in the morning! That way you can put the rainbow on there and get away with it.
  5. I agree with this, had the same problem and chased my tail for a month before replacing the booster. If you pull the rod on the booster out while the master cylinder is off then the reaction disk will fall and walla, no brakes. New boosters come with a holder on the rod (piece of paper) to keep it secure. When you remove it do not pull on the rod or the disk will fall.
  6. Use the camaro oil pan, the corvette winged one wont fit, and the truck pan is too deep. For what it's worth, there is not alot of difference between the LS1 and the LS6. The LS6 block is a refinded version of the LS1, and has better heads. There is no difference in the way the 2 trigger and the sensors are the same (he's confusing the LS2 with the LS6). Please visit www.LS1tech.com and do a little looking around. There are a couple of UK guys over there. If your looking for bolt on headers that fit then the only game in town is JTR. They also have a good cooling solution. Speartech makes great custom harnesses. Hey, if money is no object then go for the LS7 in mid summer! It's a 427 small block at the 500 hp mark!
  7. In your neck of the woods the Holden Montaro is LS1 equipped if I'm not mistaken (and I usually am).
  8. Are you making a custom harness? All those connections are on the standard wiring harness. If you can get it for 75 dollars its a great deal.

Jeromio's site has a doc on there with the LSD years in it. Hey, if you have a white 88 you might have something special on your hands. http://240z.jeromio.com/faqdraft/
  12. Just install an external flow meter on top of your head so it is visible on all sides. You could interface any instrument you want from the extra port. If you want you could hook up a suction tube and place it into a bottle of Jack, or maybe a pot of coffee.
  13. I have that file from Ross, PM me with your email address and I'll get it to you.
  14. He'd been run thru the mill. Goodbye John.
  15. Backspace looks like about 5.25". I think that is about a 25mm positive offset. Should be a direct bolt on without adapters since the pattern was dual 4 bolt. I picked up all 4 for 330.00 with tires on Ebay last week. I guess I could use adapters and go to the 4X100 holes if it proves to be too tight, or use a spacer.
  16. Switch to the JTR lightweight radiator. Use a carbon fiber hood.
  17. Hopefully these http://www.circuitflex.com/Coilovers.jpg Modern Motorsports coilovers. 175 X 10" fronts, and 225 X 10" rears will allow me to put these http://www.circuitflex.com/Konig.jpg Konig 17 X 8 Monsoons with 235 40 ZR Yoka’s on the Z! Thanks a million Ross! I can’t wait to get the CV adapters next week!
  18. Miller. Miller has a 60% duty cycle and the Lincoln only has a 30%. The Lincoln has higher rated amps, but may not match the miller for constant welding.
  19. Thanks Larry, I needed that and was going to research it. You saved me some time.
  20. Got Mine too! Man they are worth the wait! Thanks a million for doing this Tim, I'll wear my stuff with pride!
  21. I went and looked at my stock 99 PCM with LS1 Edit and the First stage fan is set to come on at 229 and off at 222. The second stage fan is set to come on at 237 and off at 230.
  22. Too clean, no real work done in there.
  23. Well you loose all the adjustment properties of the tire. Maybe they can replace the spokes with springs so the car can jump in the air at will, maybe brake dance.
