  1. I agree that this is the most brilliant shining silver in all types of weather. I am torn between this and a more darker, titanium silver (07' Subaru Urban Grey). It sucks sometimes being border line anal retentive/ detail freak with things of this nature. Anyways, Looks fantastic, look forward to seeing more pics in the sunlight.
  2. Love the color choice as that is exactly what I have been planning on using when the day comes for the paint. Looks fantastic! Show more pics when you can.
  3. Its a Festivus, for the rest of us! Looking forward to the outcome.
  4. Am I getting this wrong, is there an option between black and blue plates for an S30? I thought it would pretty much only be blue for the years.
  5. So would S30's only have the blue plate as an option due to years?
  6. You don't mess around, and are making great progress. As far as the 260/280 goes, if the typical Auto meter will not fit, then perhaps it only becomes a single Innovate air/fuel meter. The unit is super thin.
  7. Pm me later today, I think I have exactly what your requesting.
  8. I agree ^^^ as I have also searched for a quick and simple pod solution only to end up with no good candidates. I ended up buying some chavant auto style industrial design clay with the intent of modeling a nicely curved pod with the proper gauge angle, then fiber glassing the top, and later fiber glassing it to the top of the clam shell. http://www.fibreglast.com/product/Chavant_Autostyle_Clay_1123/clay
  9. "I was going give my guy my spare claim shells to do the same, but Andy might hav this covered. I think the clam shell project will have to be thought out as far as weight of the gauges, where to run wires, how many gauges, are the clam shells secured well enough to support all this". Agreed, and think that a 2-1/16" gauge is fairly light and fits inside the sight lines of the tach and speedo. The proper angle for the gauge would also need consideration. "One gauge, sized 2 1/16th would be ideal for me and I doubt you'd want to go with anything larger or more than one considering the positioning of the tach/speedo". I agree completely with this statement. Boost, air/fuel etc, right in the central line of vision.
  10. Looks like we could have almost all versions (Series1, later 240z, early 280z) , covered. I'm not sure if the later year 280z's differ from the early 75' versions.
  11. I just got home and pulled it out of storage today and just now noticed the front portion of the screw shaft ?, has a missing crack . If this is still a usable unit, I would be happy to ship and donate to the cause if this makes this much needed and wanted part come to life. PM me your shipping info if this is still usable and I will send it out immediately. Regards, Chris
  12. I have a great condition 73' clamshell to use as a master and am very eager to see this come to fruition.
  13. Love supras! Texas, when I was getting my 993 replica door mirrors from local company http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com/1974.htm, they had a 930 shop car and were building their own RWB style kit that was looking amazing. I snapped a few pics which I will try to find. When they told me the at then current price for RWB I was amazed. Might be worth a call.
  14. Spal has a new brush less puller fan that is supposed to be thin bodied. http://www.spalautomotive.com/public/documents/6bf9c185-2f13-4c92-ae72-3cd5ba41cced.pdf
  15. Yes . The project is still alive, Love it !
  16. I'm glad to see someone is still offering a product like this ^^^. I went waaay overboard on the polished engine goods, but never seemed to get around to using my bottles of the Zoop Seal formula on any of it.
  17. Alright now it's been quite awhile since any updates. Whats going on with the build?
  18. ^^^ That's what the front should have looked like from the get go !
  19. ^^I agree with the do it yourself coatings. The process that I suggested has the tank split at the seem blasted and coated with a plastisol almost like powder coating type process, the put back together and exterior painted. They fixed the two holes that the "pick your parts" junk yard mandates to all gas tanks and did a great job. I elected to have the exterior left in primer and painted with my own color choice.
  20. I think that looks pretty clean inside. If you do feel the need for ease of mind I recommend gastank renu service. I have had this done to a used 75' tank and it came out great for somewhere around $250 or so, (awhile ago can't remember exact price). http://www.gastankrenu.com/ "Our unique, chemical bonding repair process gives your fuel tank a tough, "double layer" of protection. Gas Tank Renu - USA coats both the inside and outside of your tank, sealing it from rust and corrosion. We are so sure of our patented process, that we offer a limited LIFETIME NATIONWIDE WARRANTY on every passenger car or light truck tank repaired and two years on all other tanks. Our guarantee is honored at any Gas Tank Renu - USA Dealership. Gas Tank Renu - USA's repair process is completely compatible with gasoline, water (non-drinking), diesel, methanol and ethanol".
  21. Great work man!! Love that body kit minus the front air dam.
  22. I have a professionally polished one. I can get pics tomorrow when I get it from storage.
  23. There are some differences in the actual thickness of the gears in the S15 gear box compared to the earlier S14/13 boxes. The gears are 3mm thicker. Got that from another member here (Nigel) with a nice write up on Motortopia, when I was heading down the 98' S15 path.
  24. I have the first group buy in from Senza Pari using the stock N42 intake runners. Mine was polished, with a 90mm opening, and I had him slightly port out my runners. Can be seen in my build thread, (http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/94814-nelsonian-240z/page-2). I'm not 100% sure I will be selling off everything as it is an all or nothing event for me to switch into the jz camp, but it's looking very positive.
