  1. Lance, Nothing was added to the cabin side of the firewall. I am not opposed to adding in a plate on that side if it is deemed necessary.
  2. I recently had the engine bay strengthened after taking head from advice by a fellow member with roughly 500 whp that had cracked his windshield without doing any strengthening in this area. We had to remove the preexisting front shock tower bar mounts to wrap metal around the towers for a base. Here are some pics of how we approached the bars for a NON full caged car, primarily street driven car with hopes of auto crossing. Other chassis stiffening consists of 4point welded in roll bar, new floors, custom seat mounts, sub frame connectors/frame rails, stitched front frame rails and shock towers, gusseted tc rod pockets, rear shock tower bar, and soon to finish out the front with a shock tower bar. Comments, criticism, opinions, suggestions gladly wanted.
  3. And provided above is that very thread. I enjoy unexpectedly seeing z cars in movies, commercials, videos, etc...

  5. Such a fantastic car you have built here! The RB looks right at home in the engine bay.
  6. It is fiber glass, and part of the subtle z kit by John Washington, (ztrix.com). It does match the flared front fenders.
  7. Current state. Just a few minor things left to do
  8. I'm pretty sure those are Not subtle z front flares due to a few reasons. Subtle z fronts do not come with side light provisions, and they start to ramp outward directly from the corner in front of the door to the wheel tub to add 1.5" of flare. From your provided pictures it appears that the side of the fender follows the stock flat sided lines until you get to the wheel tub/ mud flap. Here are a few pics of mine and also another members completed car with the subtle z kit.
  9. the_lettuce, What transmission are you using and how is the shifter arm positioning in the stock hole?
  10. I will be when that stage comes up. Right now my car has been in epoxy primer.
  11. Administrator please close this thread as the part is on it's way back to me.
  12. After first trying the oven cleaner method only end up with gooey, caustic sludge, I changed gears and picked up a barely used Snap on "crud thug" from ebay, as well as a cheap needle scaler and pneumatic chisel set from Harbor freight, and last but not least finished off with my Makita electric drill with 3m round scotchbrite wheel . The first needle gun only lasted a few hours and was replaced with another that is still going strong. The chisel set, with multiple shaped and sized ends ended up stripping out from it's oh so nice quality, and now only has one head option. The China freight tools were purchased with the complete understanding that they would most likely be disposable tools. The Crud Thug is a workhorse of a wire wheel tool, unlike the cheap wire wheels you can buy from Home Depot that end up breaking and sending little wire shards back at you at high velocity.
  13. I had a small amount of rot in the drivers side A pillar as well. It was mostly on the outer edge. Had it cut out and replaced with a new metal patch piece. I have gone nuts with trying my best to eradicate any and all rust. I have bought and used Eastwood automotive's internal frame coating which has an 18" hose with a conical nozzle that ensures complete coverage. Your in the home stretch with the rust battle.
  14. Six weeks ago I received my upgraded intake manifold from Senza Pari group buy in(http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/101620-l6-intake-manifold-group-buy/page-23?hl=intake&do=findComment&comment=1096425). Unfortunately it arrived without the Weber 60mm throttle body that should have been sent with it. I was told the HybridZ member was to be contacted and to get in touch with me for shipping arrangements. Here it is 6 weeks later with no response from Casey, Senza Pari after 4 emails inquiring on it's whereabouts. Left with no other options, I am asking the forum member here to please do the right thing and contact me in regards to this. Thanks, Chris
