  1. I believe that car is member (coyotegary)’s car. He has a descriptive video or two in you tube.
  2. Stretchnuts, Look on page 1, #6 for a clean same sided set up. It utilizes short pipe and leaves the engine uncluttered. This was how 240hoke had set it up and ran it at 26psi with meth injection. Not a direct answer at all to your question but a possible option instead.
  3. I agree on the overly large horn button surround and think you nailed it with the proper proportion/size.
  4. Nice, I like both of those cars. Create build threads on both and document your progress with lots of pics. Looking forward to seeing these!
  5. Here's my take on your proposed plans. If you are even remotely considering going big with the Z in the future, you will most certainly need to address the need for chassis strengthening which should be the first step in preparation to upping power/torque. I have seen and ridden in many z cars without strengthening and only 185-200ish hp that have the rear c pillar leaded seams cracking under the paint from chassis twisting. Suspension and brakes would be next on the plans and the snowball begins to gather in size and speed.
  6. That engine is amazing and revs so fast! In it's current state of tune, what hp and lb/ft torque is it producing?
  7. I have had very good luck with ACT clutches on other turbo vehicles in the past and currently have one with only 15 miles on it. I bought it from another member on here but will be in need of the stronger xtss model. PM if this is of interest to you. Here is the original ad and specs. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/112250-fidanza-flywheel-act-clutch-combo/ NX2-HDSS - HD/Perf Street SprungRegular Price: $551.56 Special Price: $468.83 Add to Cart Torque Capacity (ft/lbs.): 410 Recommendation: Recommended for street and race use Engagement: A low to moderate pedal feel; smooth engagement with stock to low gear rattle
  8. Doh! I should have put a little more effort into looking before posting. I think the Rota's look so right for the s30 chassis.
  9. Just checking back in on your progress.
  10. Arif, The car is looking great! What width tire are you running on the rears?
  11. Drooling! keep the pics a coming.
  12. Your car looks fantastic in that blue. What size Rotas are you running in the front? I like the stiffening bar you added in the front and am wondering if the Rota group buy 17"x9" would fit with it.
  13. That guy is mucho talented. Very well done.
  14. You will need to trim and as you said mold back in the lips. My subtle z kit needed some finessing here and there. I may have to cut the rear lips out, pull them out and fill in with fiberglass to get an in between subtle and yz wide effect. You just have to go into the fiber glass world expecting to have to do some extra fitment adjusting.
  15. I agree 100% and will do exactly that. I would like it for anyone else who purchases one of these to get the right product the first time and avoid any reshipment issues. I am very pleased with Rock Auto's customer service as they were very quick to respond back as well as let me return even out of their 30 day time period. Now to have this pump polished to match every other component linked with the cover.
  16. Well, after returning the first pump and making a second order I am happy to say that today I received the correct l28D pump. It would not spin in the housing and passed the roughly 1/16" under 3" blade to blade measurement test. I hate to say it but RA will still have one gas pump that is masquerading as an l28D in their supply. I will send the info to them once again tomorrow as to hopefully tag that one pump and correct the problem with Aisin.
  17. Cool, I love this thread. It makes me keep my eyes peeled while watching shows/ movies.
  18. Yeah, they slowly keep trickling in. As of Monday they will have my returned one back in the mix, so unfortunately it will be a throw of the dice. There's no telling what I will receive this coming week either.
  19. One more call made and the wrong size pump is on it's way back to RA. I rolled the dice and ordered their last one in stock and hope to see if the correct sized pump will come. Their service representatives were very easy to deal with and listened to everything I had to say in regards to the different sized pumps, so I'm pleased for that. Will see what comes in the next week.
  20. Not having the best of luck with this at all. I contacted RA on Wed via phone, then last night sent detailed pictures showing the visual difference and here is the response I received this morning. "Dear Chris Nelson, Thank you for your email. From your photos, it appears you received the pump you ordered, The part number on the manufacturer's box is correct and the pump body matches the image of the WPN079 we offer in our catalog. Looking at the pump, there isn't sufficient room to install a larger impeller, as it would bind against the inside of the pump body. If the pump won't work for you, you may return it for a refund." I am going to call one last time and mention a few members who also received the wrong pump. I will then take a chance with swapping this one for another with fingers crossed. I was told they would not measure the pump similar to what they told you Gareth J.
  21. I contacted Rockauto yesterday and sent photos of what should be the correct size diameter wheel as opposed to what I received and hope to send it back and try with another one. Hopefully second time is the charm. Here are a few pics showing the under sized unit I received.
