I couple years ago I was going to sell the keys to my friend's Rotten 240sx on Ebay and not tell them what car it goes to. But I never went through with it. I had the ad all designed and everything including a picture of his dog holding the keys in his mouth. But if you put a reserve on they will know how much it's worth, and he got skittish about possibly selling his car for $1.00.

Instead I'm going to take a 2500lb car shoehorn in an engine with 3 times the torque of the original engine and floor it.

I bet it gets better gas milege now.

Sounds like they knew english well till the last one. Then their spelling, grammer and words went to heck. Give them a p.o. box, it only costs a few bucks to set one up, then they won't be by with a shipper to pick up the car without your cash sitting in the bank. Tell them you can accept a wire transfer, set up an account with a local bank that will accept transferrs from out of country, then get the info for sending the money and give that to them. That's instant and impossible to fake.

Have the thing machined at a local shop, chrome plated and bring it for show and tell when you're done, that'll get the "A" .

Just 2D or AutoCADD Mechanical Desktop, or AutoCADD Light? 2-D linedrawing in AutoCADD is easy, but Mechanical Desktop sucks for a modler. Some people swear on it though. (you'll be doing a lot of swearing yourself with that outdated stuff). Autodesk Inventor is awsome though, well worth it. Do whatever is easiest, I say GRILL!!!! and I want one too. I'm thinking a simple metal bar with some sort of emblem in the middle. Wire harnessing is too much work, especially drawing it by hand . DANG.

One of your injectors might be sticking, Put a timing light on each plug wire it will flash consistantly if the plug is firing, otherwise it'll be off or fire inconsistently. If you find a missing cylinder, that one will most probably have the stuck injector. The plug sometimes won't fire if the fuel mixture is too rich or too lean. MSD uses all kinds of systems, if you have a vac advance ont he side of your distributor, it's using that to advance, and if you take off the cap and look you will either see weights or not. If no weights exist, it is adjusting advance according to RPM. The manufacturer of the engine will have a spec for total advance at XXXX RPM. The timing could be off wildly at idle before it will statr to miss, you could be off as much as 20degrees and have little effect on firing, but it will idle rougher if it's off by more then 4-6 degrees. Put the timing light on the crank and see if it's in spec. It's missing on idle, so only worry about idle for now.

If you want piece of mind, you are not thinking of the right pieces... Think about a full roll cage as you are doing doughnuts to prevent death and decapitation in case of a rollover. Next I'd consider some protection for the boys... you know it seems just as likely you'd throw a rod or something and have a projectile enter the driver compartment... perhapse at seat level???

Not if you used chrome plated break pads. They would stick like nothing else... well actually they would gall and bind, SAME THING!

What about 17" rims on a stock 240, can you tell me anything about spec'ing the right rim? I'd hate to order new rims and find out they don't fit...

I'd race for pink slips and then, just for fun, torch the SI in front of the previous owner. Wow that's dark. I owned an SI!!! I think I'm now converted. The hatred grows like dark oil bubling in a tar pit.

Did he mention the 3" hole in the side of the block where the custom crank lobe came out ? Probably still worth $900 just for the heads, cam and intake.
