  1. Unless you're in texas. Stay at least 20miles from the Texas border. Not just for the car, but for your own safety.
  2. Hees porbbly nest presdent of de unighted staights. Ad whad abou the cars is fix prety ille, the whees fit HONDA PRELUDE.
  3. I vollenteer for cleanup, where is it. ...Aww this one is chipped, well, that's going to have to go in the "trash" . ...Yes, I'm from the recycling center, here's a check for $20, I'll clean this up.
  4. Lower rim lip one is easy, just put 19" wheels on it. Exhaust noise is a problem, it'll draw their attention and then they'll get you for something, there is so much law to choose from. I friend of mine is a Cop (a real a-retentive one too) good thing he's on my side, he once gave someone a ticket for turning right on a light that had a sign that said "no right after 3pm and before 6pm, and it was 3:02pm!. Another time he saw someone drop cigarette ash out the window, JUST the ASH! and ticketed them for litering, they complained and actually threw the ticket on the ground when he gave it to them, so he wrote them up again and threatened to arrest them. Just stay cool, drive slowly and try not to WOT in a school zone or construction zone, those they know you'll never beat. Otherwise you'll probably be ok. Welcome to the leader in law enforcement, where there are more prisons than schools.
  5. That dang school, what a pesky time/money drainer. Hang in there. Once you're raking in the dough, it'll be small fries... but you'll probably have no time or energy Sorry...
  6. a 71 is rare, there are about 5 x the 1972's out there. I got my 72 in december which was in good condition, good paint, good interior, all original for $3600. Some minor ripling in the bumpers and they obviously got it stolen because there is damage to the ignition switch, the driver door key hole, towing markes on the front and rear skirts, and a little stupid number in the back window when it was sittin in the tow lot. But otherwise really stock and complete. I saw two others with good paint jobs for 5k in stock condition., and one for 3500 had a new drivetrain with a r200 rear but it was totally trashed inside and had a 280zx engine. Probably worth it for the drive train but the diff had really high gears in 5th it was 3k at 45mph.
  7. Omfg That Roxor3s The Big On#o111!!!
  8. sometimes I wonder what it would be like to "do drugs", but looking at my brother and sister and their ruined lives, I'm kinda glad I never did.
  9. DAMN, I love being free... Great project
  10. I used to drink domestic only... Then I had a Corona once and it made Bud taste like piss. Then I had a wicked ale and the thought of Corona made me sick... Then I tried a guiness out of the draft in a bar once and now even negro modelo tastes like watered cigarette butts in comparison. I have spoiled myself into only liking Guiness extra stout, Guiness Draught, and some micro brews but only dark, dark, extra dark ones. My test now if I'm going to like a beer, put it in a clear glass and hold it up to the sun, if you can see the sun through it, it's no good. But it's sad I just can't go back...
  11. Keep your yap shut and your hood too! But if anyone shows you up in a street race, you know where to send his liscence plate number.
  12. tha last thing you need is to clean up a mess on your ricarro seats .
  13. My wife told me that I couldn't drive my friends in it when it's done because of the lawsuit potential.
  14. "You should know that an arrest can be made at any blood alcohol level. Some counties routinely prosecute people with levels as low as 0.05% BAC." http://www.attorney-criminal-dui.com/dui.htm
  15. The consensus pretty much points to yes. My research: it's lighter it has a higher 4th it has a higher 1st it has closer ratios it's slightly cheaper it can be built to handle the same horsepower it has some extra features like detent shift. the most important feature is 1-2 shift and higher 1st. If anyone has a similar list why 700r4 is better, please enlighten us.

  17. Spread bore Q-jet 4bbl. Had one on my cadillac, it took me months to figure it out, but when I did, it was at least 25% better from adjustment alone. It did have one curious feature, when I reved it under the hood with the air cleaner off, it shot two streams of gasoline over the carb and two arching streams fell cleanly into the secondaries... only problem was the secondaries were mechanical and did not open unless you reved past the half way on the pedal, so you could see a little pool of gas that quickly got sucked into the secondaries. I didn't seem to have any problems because of this, so I left it alone. the car was amazingly responsive, better than any car I've owned since, even better than some fuel injected cars I had. Dang thing always smelled like gas.
  18. If it works it works. What was wrong with the spread bore? They tend to get better gas mileage, although they do have a reported problem with uneven charging for all the cylinders.
  19. GOLLUM 0-100-0 in 10.4 seconds is quite impressive, but they have a 600+hp chevy V8 in that bad boy. They should make the requirement 0-100-0 on a banked oval so you have to factor in side force as well.
  20. It would be kind of cool to beat an s2000 with an s2000 powerplant, their curb weight is unladen 2835lb. No contest. But it would be a lot more fun beating a BMW 750 with a it's powerplant .
  21. Bought this car in December, the previous owner claimed it was rebuilt 10 years ago, but he didn't drive it other than the occasional run around the block. It drove ok when I bought it and got it home. It ran like a champ, after a 50 mile drive, and about 20 minutes of ideling, the car started sputtering and pouring white smoke out of the exhaust. The #6 cylinder had radiator fluid in it and radiator fluid was dripping out of the exhaust. After a head gasket change absolutely no improvement, and the old head gasket showed no signs of blowing, flat as can be. Bypassed the radiator line into the intake manifold, no change. So I'm betting the head is cracked... Also, when I replaced the head gasket, both water jackets between 5 and 6 were completely corroded shut on the head side, the block side was clear. My suspision is that after 10 years without much action the head clogged with corrosion and when I was idleing it for 20 minutes it overheated the rear end of the block. Now the radiator emptys in about 5minutes all out the enhaust. I am accelerating my V8 Swap, but I sure would like to know if this happened to anyone else. Thanks,
  22. try looking up a manual for the 350c, it might have something to do with the other 4 wires too, that power connector may just be power, for the solenoid, but there may be a relay that needs singnal power as well. Skip the beer and go straight to the rum, after 4-6 shots, you should forget you even have a Z.* *warning effects are limited and hangovers are severe. And for god's sake stay away from goldshlager and pepermint schnaps. Otherwise who needs the lockup anyway, you planning a long trip? Need that extra 5% gas mileage on the freeway?
  23. this might help http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/
  24. 200-4r http://www.200raptor.com/ 700r-4 http://www.fourthgearinc.com/Technical_Info.htm In case you want a real race car (manual) Tremec http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/ <-- with this you can chose the gears and could have a .50 5th! That'd be a nice cruzer in 5th at 80mph. I am going with the 200-4r I'm almost certain .67 4th the 700r4 had .70. 3-speed is fine the only problem is fining a rear end for the datsun that is lower than 3.36, something in the 2's would be necessary for the TH350/TH400 to work without screeming on the freeway. 700r4 and 2004r are ok for freeway speeds with a 3.36 rear. I'd still like to see a smaller ratio in mine, but this is a good start.
