Well, IMO I'd rather run into the open yard across the street than hit a car, but that is anyones decision. Most people panic and just hit the brakes. In any event most people don't pay attention to what is going on or what is around them while driving. Secondly they haven't been taught defensive maneuvers while driving. IMO if they had been paying attention, everything else would have been mute. The other day I had a high end motorhome, diesel pusher, about 45 feet long pulling a hummer pull right out in front of my peterbilt which was loaded grossing over 90,000 with a Cat 140 vhp blade on my 3 axle 50 ton lowboy. Truck and trailer weighs 44,000 and the blade weighs 51,000. Situation is on a 4 lane divided road I am headed north. Motorhome crossing from my left to right going into a gas station. No way to stay in my two lanes and stop. Would have hit the motorhome if I had hit the brakes, elderly woman on the passenger side was having a fit, elderly husband driver was oblivious. Traffic was light with one car in the outside lane coming south and no vehicles near me. I veered through the median opening that he came through into the inner southbound lane, stood on the brakes and stopped. Nobody hurt. I would have easily jumped the median if I had to. It is a decision you have to make quick and you can't steer when the brakes are locked up.

If you think life is going to be fair you are correct. In the first days of adam and eve, it was fair to each of them 50% of the time. Today with over 8 billion people in the world it is fair to you 1/ (4billion) of the time. So if you blinked, which you probably did, you missed your opportunity. There you go again, you blinked yet again. I doubt very seriously that you'll ever get the satisfaction you are wanting or think you deserve. It isn't about right or wrong, it is about time to quit wasting time and energy on something that is fruitless and move on down the road with a valuable lesson learned. It is called the wisdom of age and now you know why us mature persons don't spend alot of time dwelling on things like this. I said mature instead of crusty old farts for a reason. totally avoidable IMO. You can't steer when the tires are locked up. And if you hit a curb with the tire locked up there is no chance for the tire to roll over the curb which causes significant damage. 95% of all accidents are caused by driver inattentiveness. Both exibited that characteristic IMO. Therefore it was a totally avoidable accident IMO.

IMO that is not the drivetrain it's actually your powerplant. Drivetrains usually don't have an intermittent hickup. If they do it is trying to seize or break something and there is considerable noise associated with it. It could be drive train but from watching the vid you have an ignition problem (most likely).

Well, your not judged by post count. Kind of an irrelevant thing IMO. It does not reflect your experience, knowledge, character, mental stability or size of your wallet. If you post in the non tech area it doesn't count towards your post count.

It is normal for a manual trans to spin the output shaft in neutral when cold, sometimes even hot when the driveshaft is not attached. As for your other symptoms I have no idea other than mounts.

I traded for this for myself for christmas! Thought I needed one of these vulcan 50BMG rifles. Has a 36 inch barrel and scope on it. Should be here in a week or two. Can't wait!

Never heard of the 50W-70W advice. In blown alky motors I use aluminum rods with pinned rod bearings. I think you'll have better luck running aluminum rods if you are not already. The lifespan of blown alky motors is not very long and matches aluminum rods very vell. Are you still running wet sump? If so then you need to change oil every couple of passes, not just every race session. Go to a dry sump system and with 13 to 20 quart capacity and you will see less bearing problems. From the vid it looks like your still very rich.

If your at sea level a 2500 stall would be suitable. If your at altitude then a 3000 stall would be more appropriate.

I still have to get tubs and sheet metal as well as 2x3 tubing and the norm DIY.

Ok, well, been busy playing santas elf making christmas presents, but got sidetracked yesterday. The axles and brakes came back from moser. Wilwood dynalite 4 pot calipers and 11 inch discs. So I needed to bring my transmission bench in to finish the transmission, so I put the rear end on it and assembled it. All that is left for this to be ready is safety wire on the bolts. It measures 45 inches wheel flange to wheel flange. This has 31 spline moser axles, detrot locker (used) from a nascar team and 3.25 Ford gears. I think it will fit under the z just fine. More santa work today for awhile then I'll work on the transmission some more. Poor twin turbo monte sitting neglected in the background. Don't worry, it'll be next on my list.
