    Front Picture

From the front view, I do not think it is possible to fit long tubes.
  2. Great work Miles, I am not far behind you guys getting your swaps up and running.
  3. Nice work, I need to do something similar for switch panel and heater/defroster. Try Tractor supply for metric nuts and bolts and a company called Grainger. Grainger is like Mcmaster-Carr.
  4. I did not have an issue with my passenger side mount, but I will go over to the garage and see if I can find pics on the laptop and get them posted.
  5. Aziza Z, I printed this from hotrodlane.cc (Speed and Performance) they have some good LS1-2-6 swap information: http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ONLINETECH/Electric%20Fan%20Wiring.html Wiring and electric is not my favorite either, so hang in there I am learning from you guys who are completing there LS swaps.
  6. 1 fast z, I would like to know if that type of wheel will fit also. I am going with the AZC 5-lug brakes ( no coil-overs ). There are a few mustang and replica wheel websites that sell the FR 500 wheels and the prices are sometimes better than the ebay price. Also, the offsets/ backspaces are different with each vendor. Please post your specs if you do go in this direction. Thanks,
  7. The flares on the Z looks great !!!!! The Z has a nice stance.
  8. A drive shaft loop is one of the next items on the list I need to get as well. Has anyone ever utilize two drive shaft loops ? What is the gurantee of one loop bolted in the right place for security ? But maybe bolt in two ?
  9. If the seller, Paypal and Ebay do not come through, put the spoiler back on the market. I have seen a few 2nd generation Z28 clones and all need that spoiler to complete the puzzle. As a matter of fact I passed on deal to buy a Z28 clone, so selling the spoiler can be and option.
  10. Good evening, I am back in the garage and preparing to install a complete chassis harness (Painless), LS1 computer/engine harness, Flex a lite heater defroster and a toggle switch panel. The dash is out of the car, I have a Autometer electric speedo, tach and clock and the other guages are stock with white faces. Do I buy a guage harness or make a harness to extend the connections on the gauges prior to installing the dash back into the car?

    Finish Dash

Autometer Speedo, Tach and clock. stock Fuel and volt guage with white face.
  12. I think the name is Le Mans Gas Cap? Ecklers Corvette in Florida sells them. Also, go to Factoryfive.com they sell them as well. Ecklers pricey http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?pf_id=39414&dept_id=1280 Factory Five a bit less;http://parts.factoryfive.com/newcatalog/exterior/gascap.htm
  13. Mopar69, The side pieces should not be like that. They should follow the Zs' lines, with only minor filling and shaping. Give Dave a call at Arizona Z car, you may pay a little more for a spoiler if his source still makes them. I had to do a lot of massaging to get the spoiler to fit on the hatch. I added screws to them as well as super strentgh body adhesive to attach to the body. The three piece spoiler for the Z has a curved area for hatch lock that is in the mold. The Camaro spoilers do not have this shaped area. My Z from the rear
  14. Wow Mike, Hopefully MTI can get the C6 back running right. I know the issue you had with the body shop, now this. You and Warren convince me to do my electric stuff on the Z. I am beginning to do my own work on the C5 !!!! Good Luck, and keep Vengeance in mind if MTI can not fix the vette.
  15. From what is disclose, at the very least you can finish one car and/or use parts for a car you already have and sell what you do not use. I say between $14,000.00 and $18,000.00. As you know labor time, "the while I am at it" and the knick knack pieces eat up a wallet and time.
  16. The flares in the picture are from the Motorsport Auto catalog in California (previous years catalog). I do not think they have those flares anymore. As stated, they do pop up on ebay from time to time. Those flares were called IMSA flares by MSA, but they are not true IMSA flares. The only flares that look similar (not the same) are the steel flares sold by Black Dragon Auto, previously known as Victoria British. Also, it has been "tossed around " that the Victoria British (Black Dragon )flares are modified Volkswagon Beetle fenders. I do not know if this is true or not. By the way Showcars stole that photo from the Motorsport Auto Catalog.
  17. The ZR1 is nice, but the Pratt & Miller C6RS is a nice piece of work also. http://prattmiller.com/customernews.php?NewsID=524
  18. 240Hoke, I can have you on a plane to sunny Georgia and you can take over the wiring !!! Hey Mike, I know you had some challenges with C6 and I am taking no chances on shady workmanship. Warren just about have me convinced that I can do the electric stuff !!! I am going to get through the holidays and work on some other areas of the Z, maybe I will have more confidence as I get back into the garage. I hope to be up and running before DNI !!! V8ZRACER260Z, Thank you for the offer and I will keep your offer in mind.
  19. Jtmny1999, You have a skill many would pay for (including me!!!) Hey Mike your web page and photos got me to this point, along with some help from other members. But, the thing I have a fear of is missing a ground or relay and my Z catching on fire !!!! I will do everything else brakes, bodywork, suspension, interior -but, I have thrown in the towel on the electric stuff. Yes, Evan I will to turn it over to someone who knows what they are doing so, I am searching for a car electrician.
