  1. Just push the spring down to remove the rocker, then you can get to the lifter with a 24mm deep thin wall socket.

  5. The problem I had with delta was, they told me my lobe lift was going to be .300" . What I got was .275". Had they simply checked their work they wouldn't have wasted everyone's time and effort. Secondly was the rockers. Two of them were cut with the wear surfaces not parallel. Also could have been caught before shipping out to me.
  6. Watch your tps signal. If the wire isn't shielded this may happen. Our you can set your tps control to 0%.
  7. Yes everyone makes mistakes but that's why you check your work. When you send someone an unusable item that's just bad business.
  8. Are you taking about the pattern on the came lobe being on the edge? check to see if the rocker wear surfaces are parallel on the affected lobes.
  9. Your wipe patterns are off because delta does poor work. You have varying base circles from lobe to lobe.
  10. Oh yes. Courtesy nissan. I only tried msa with no luck. I'm using my ebrake for drag racing.
  11. The z31 hubs will bolt to the s130 spindles with no mods. As for calipers I am not sure. The larger z31 rotors from 1984-1985 NA cars will bolt straight to the s130 hubs with no mods. Maybe, armed with this info, you can come up with a brake upgrade for us s130 guys. MSA sells semi metallic pads for s130 cars that shouldn't fade so quickly. For about double the price you can get some from EBC.
  12. I know this is a big problem with the 280zx. What's everyone doing about their seized parking brake cable. I can't seem to find a new one. Anyone adapt one from a different car? Does the cable from a z31 fit with mods? Thanks.
  13. A roller cam setup is way expensive. A hydraulic flat tappet will work fine. The procomp heads will be fine they'll just have a very unfinished appearance. You'll need to smooth out the runners and combustion chambers, especially the bowl and seat area. If this disinterests you, use a better head. Don't take stroke out, add stroke if possible. 350cid 190-200cc, 383 210+. Have fun!

  15. I got the cam back from delta a second time and I'm highly disappointed. I measured lobe lift again with a dial indicator. Lobe lifts range from .306"-.311". I measured every lobe. Should I use this cam? Thanks.

  17. I had this problem it was a noisy cas signal. I swapped to a na distributor. What distributor does yours have?
  18. Looks normal but a long burnout is not necessary. Just spin the water a trash off them. Just a hint of smoke. Don't burnout in the water. Just a few revolutions of the tires in the water, then pull out and then spin the tires.

  20. Could be the inhibitor relay. It gets signal from the neutral switch. Also look at the fusible links by the battery. You can find all this in the fsm.
  21. On my post from yesterday I was talking about the ford 5.0 injector holders. There are only 2 per car so you need them from 3 cars.
  22. I guess since you were running carbs before that you'll be running na now? I like this design. I'd like to build one like this for my turbo car. I just wonder if the turbo will blow the fuel away from the runner and cause a lean condition?
  23. It's a garrett tc4305 58mm comp wheel. I think I over tightened the comp nut.
  24. Only problem there is you need three cars for enough parts.
