  1. You beat me to it. This is the route I would go with. Standalones are great too.
  2. I can't speak for other parts of the country, but here in Southern California the roads have a lot of oil which makes the surface slick regardless of weather its a rain tire or not. That's really why I chimed in. Snow, ice and heavy rains elsewhere is whole different story.
  3. Maybe I am jumping in too late, but why does this matter for someone on the west coast? Doesn't the person asking live in CA? East coast can totally understand, but CA and AZ have very few days with heavy rain.
  4. Looks like some great goodies to start with. Very nice!
  5. Well said Mike. My buddy had a GT2 (oddly Porsche America bought it back after over $30K in warranty work on the brakes) and he is the best driver I know. He made it look easy while I could tell it was a handful to drive. Whether it be the GT2 or GT3 they are amazing and have earned my praise and respect.
  6. GT2 would have been an even better race. Great story, but I would hardly call your LS powered Z an old Datsun as you are pretty much up to date engine wise.
  7. Another classic RB powered Z moment sponsored by the AZ lemonade makers.
  8. my bet is that came from Karim...Racer98. His shipped looks just like that.
  9. I agree, but just to be sure I would test drive her a couple hundred times just to be absolutely certain. Poor thing needs those bolt-ons tested for the greater good of mankind and being the giver I am I will step up to the plate.
  10. Isn't the real advantage if a failure occurs that the rear wheels still stay on the car? So a spline can still fail, but upon breaking it will not be fatal.
  11. Sorry if this is old...love this vid.
  12. Okay Clifton, I see the BBQ so when is the party for us to all check out the new garage? Looks great.
  13. Just call them...they are straight upfront about everything.
  14. Later it was reported the driver died from smoke inhalation...
  15. I agree with the guys here. Keep it and if you are totally fed up with frustration finish it with the option to drive it or sell it. I am guessing if you do this you will keep it.
  16. Russjz-zed, Nice info...looks like you have some fun parts to play with.
  17. Clifton, I really like your swap. It doesn't sound like you really think much of it though. Is that because of cost; you feel you could have spent on a different/better setup? Seems to me you have a ton of power and after a certain point how much is really usable?
