  1. Man, nice boat! Do we all go waterskiing later this summer? Davy
  2. The deadline was moved to the later date to give more time. I have not received any email, PM, or whatever as of yet, but Eric can forward me anything he gets to make sure I see the entries. I don't know if my DavyZ@HybridZ.org still exists. Davy
  3. They are as rare as hen's teeth. An actual ZX widebody kit? Please post some pics when you can. I have not seen large flares for a ZX and I'd love to have some sort of reference. You may think about selling them to a ZX guy and buying an actual kit made for an S30. Everyone would win, provided you get the money to cover the other kit. Davy
  4. Gabriel, do you know what the weight difference is or what you will expect it to be between the stock set up and your parts? Just curious. Davy
  5. The person that's doing your exhaust knows what the heck they're doing, that's for sure. Nicely tucked in there too. Stunning car. Davy
  6. Maybe we could do a fund drive for ya?
  7. Thanks for the info, Scott. OK, I came home and saw my ugly, tattered, stupid, POS "cover" slung over the side of the Z for the very last time (sorta). I got on ebay and ordered a cheap car cover from a seller with reasonable feedback. Description was of the cover was OK and is made by LeBra (of '70's fame). I know this cover will not be as good as a Noah cover, which I crave, but it's costing me $36 shipped, so succumbed to being cheap as heck. I'll have some wine and then verbally chastise myself for giving in. Seriously, a cover made from paper towels would be better at the moment; I just could not stand it any more. Davy
  8. You just raised the quality bar another ten notches. Unbelievable quality in finish. Many are green with envy! Davy
  9. Costco has surprised me on occasion, so I'm not too shocked about that. I don't think the cover will fit like a Z-specific cover, but if the strapping system is good...heck, $30 is cheap! I'll visit them this week. Thanks for the recommendations, guys. Davy
  10. Thread is stuck! One of the other admin did it for me Davy
  11. The owner of Techline Coatings was a member here for a long time when the forum started. Good products from what I have read. Davy
  12. The cover looks pretty good, even though it might be for a longer car, like the ZX. I'm sick of the sagging look of my own "cover" and it blows off in the wind. I live near the Bay and it blows every night, despite the time of year. I gotta do something about it. At least yours was the right price! That's what I'm looking for... Davy BTW, Pop, that was tight...
  13. I was waiting for pics Nice garage, Jon. I'm sure you're proud too--good thing the trailer (barely) fits in there. Must be nice to have that extra space Davy
  14. This is still one of my all time favorite pics, Alex--the one that made Z Car Magazine. I love Z cars "at speed." Davy
  15. Remember, "the hack job you drive may be your own!!" Hahaha! Eh, I thought it was funny... Davy
  16. Ah, there's always the Any Griffith show where Barney Fife buys a car from a con-woman and there's sawdust in the tranny...or was it the oilpan? I cannae remember. Way too long ago... Davy

Export it to China or Mexico, that's how. Simple. Davy
  18. Pete, glad you seem to have a good replacement for the other Mitsu. I hope this car turns out to be better than you expected. I think you deserve some "dessert" in your life and not more "desert." Hang in there Davy
  19. That would be the "Matrix" cover. I'm in need of something like the "Noah" which is $170+ shipping, etc. I know those are great covers and I think they are one of the outfits I mentioned earlier. I'm just cheap I suppose. I'm trying to get a top-of-the-line cover for less than the retail price. I will email them, though! Thanks, Davy
  20. Ben, you can also check with some companies that specialize in repairing such damage. It may not be cheap, but it would come out looking like new. Davy
  21. Guys, I have been fighting with an old, tattered car cover that can no longer be called an actual "cover" anymore and I'm soooo sick of it. I have been looking on ebay thinking I'd get my best deal there and I have to say that there are a few that look good, but are they? Have any of you purchased an ebay car cover? This could be for any car, not just a Datsun. I'm concerned that what I buy will be built on slick marketing more than on science, but I frankly don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a "real" car cover from one of the high end catalog sellers either. Note: this is for the outdoors! The cover will keep tree sap from falling on the Z, so it will get plenty of use and not necessarily look good for long. Davy
  22. Ernie, Sad to hear that happened to you--what a pain. Let me take you to lunch today if you have the time. I'll be away from HybridZ for the rest of the day, but you have my cell phone and I have your number too. Let's hook up; I'll pick you up. Davy
  23. Jonus, part of the turbocharging a V8 is the bracketing to hold the turbo itself (no one thinks about this it seems) and proper positioning for clearance purposes. It looks as if you have taken into account both of these items and have dealt with it quite well. I'd love to see your headers once you are finished. Thanks for the update on your build--lookin' good. Davy
