  1. Ah, you took the url from link properties and not from image properties when you right click on the photo in the album. You did everything correct except for that. In the image properties, you'll see the address/url as a jpg. I posted my first answer hastily, sorry! HTH Davy
  2. I can't contemplate how much money and time you spent on your car and then having to sell it! It must have cost a fortune building up a Chevy engine in the UK. Nice work, though! Davy
  3. This is' date=' by far, the best advice for EVERYONE using HybridZ![/b'] If everyone obeyed Jon's suggestions as listed above in his post, the world (our little world?) would be a happier place It's O.K. to ask questions, Mike. But I don't have all the answers Davy
  4. I'll do the same too. Hope things get better. When things happen in waves, it can become extremely difficult.... Davy
  5. Wow, you're pretty good. I never got to that level on a bike, but I admire you for going the distance. I do not, however, have the same level of scars you do on your carcass Davy
  6. Jake, you're the second or third guy to try that. I don't remember reading too much negative on using the bedliner in the engine bay. It looks OK and I'm sure it's more abrasion resistant than paint is!!! Prep will be key. If you do a decent job, it should come out looking pretty good. I'm going to use trunk paint in my engine bay. I like the look of that stuff. Davy
  7. The picture of the blower sticking through the hood is menacing looking--I love it! Davy
  8. EVLZX, One of the rules around here is to use the search function and read before posting common questions that have been asked a hundred times before. Please do so beforehand. Thanks. Now, to answer your question, you hit the nail on the head: yes, that's the tranny you want. Davy
  9. I love the look of the motor. Man, that sure is pretty. Davy
  10. Ah yes, that is my favorite beer. Pale Ale all the way! Davy
  11. Actually, Ernie, we should be beholding TO YOU for your expertise you have shared with everyone over these past few years. You have been more than wlling to help anyone out that asks for it and your a generous fellow to boot! Glad YOU are part of the forum!! Davy
  12. You do. They used a custom windshield whose base was mounted farther forward. Tilt front end. The works. Nice cars. Davy
  13. Just how ancient is this motor? You don't need to do that, Jake. It should be fine if it was actually running before you got it, correct? I replace the timing chain as preventative maintenance & fluids too. You should be fine with the install and then fire it up. Davy
  14. Uhh, actually the white one was owned by Hoover Chan (HooversTurbo) who is on this site. He sold it in 2005 to a guy from out of state. I have seen the white car in person and I can tell you it has a NASTY small block chevy with a 4 speed under the hood. It could easily spin those massively wide tires and made exhaust noises that sounded like a symphony (if you like Chevy's that is), so it had the guts to back up the looks...at least the white one did. The cars were more of a race car than a street car believe it or not. Pure business inside the driver's compartment. No BS, just race race race all the way. Davy
  15. I think the LSx motors sound better than anything else out there. Does it almost scare you when it accellerates? You must be one happy man with that and the flea. Davy
  16. Yes, it is a Jim Cook Racing bodykit and the WING is part of that kit. Think twice before getting rid of it. Anyone that knows anything about that car and the bodykit will expect the big whaletail/Porsche-style wing. It works both functionally and esthetically. Some cars just need a wing and that is one car that absolutely needs it. My $.02 Davy
  17. $300 for a rebuilt T5 is just an amazing deal. Heck, even it was not a WC T5, it is still an amazing price. Nice score! Davy
  18. Yep, at the local supermarket I found a parking place right up front....where the shopping carts are left by a$$holes to slowly but surely make their way off of the sidewalk entrance off the curb and into the cars parked in front. I came out to find my 2006 Honda Civic with a dent in the hood. I was NOT happy. I feel your pain. Davy
  19. Zero, You did fine in accepting the $55 'obstruction' penalty with no points. As the gambler song goes, "You have to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, yadda yadda yadda." So you did the right thing. Arguing with the judge who just extended grace to you would hav been fruitless. You made a quality decision and should be happy about it. Davy
  20. What Doc just said. Going through the expense of fabricating a bellhousing or adapter to use the stock Z tranny is just plain foolish. El snappo, boom, and the trans is gone. There are no adapters for that application for good reason. You are better off using or adapting the T5 from a Mustang or Camaro. The Tremec trannys are better and stronger as well. It is money well spent! Davy
  21. Yasin, great work! Very professional looking and it'll be completely functional too. Leave it black BTW, post some pics of it mounted w/gauges pleeeze. Davy
  22. Ummm, more like 'naked-chicks-with-shaved-heads-kinda-thing'... Think more Mad Max and less Berkeley girl or Humbolt hunny. Davy
  23. *GASP!* Another big thingie on HybridZ!!!! Those look great on ther right now. Something about the Convo Pros that just scream drag race! Davy
  24. Looks like a pretty nice car. The Camaro will always be worth more than the Z, so as an investment you're going the "wrong way." However, investments aside, this sounds like a good way to get some serious dollar for your Z The Camaro looks good. I have always liked the look of them, even through the early '70's. I have seen the prices get completely stupid over the past decade, which has turned me off of them. I doubt most sell close to their asking prices on Craigslist, etc., so I shine them on. Someday, if I still want one, I'll be bargain shopping like I do on just about everything else, or I'll win the Lotto and buy a Copo Camaro or something like that without batting an eye. Keep up the good work! Davy
