I think this is from the Japanese TV show "Hey Hey Hey" which is a pretty cool show IMO. The wifey and I used to watch it in the evenings just for fun even though we couldn't understand what they are saying. If you laughed at this, then you understand! Davy

So let's see, how does one take away from another's reputation?... Davy

This is also how well my dash cap turned out on my 260Z when I had it. I didn't remove the dash completely, but rather unbolted it from the chassis and brought it backward a few inches. I also followed the instructions to the letter and had a great result. You can't tell if it is a cap when it is installed correctly. Davy

Clint is great with the camera! Are the pics your property or the sole property of Tunerzine? I'm using your 'at speed' photo for wallpaper at work--that pic just rocks IMO Davy

Haha! Forrest, that's funny Uh, Sharko, you should not see a 'plate' there in that place. I have no idea what that is or why it is there. You should see a large bolt, just like the other side... Davy

are you in a mad rush to just add performance

Ah, I see. I'm sure we have been guilty of flaming a newbie once or twice, but we try to be civil about everything. Again, thanks for the comments. Davy -

Tony, if this were in California, I'd say keep your money due to the visible rust (bad for CA, but you're in FL so who knows?) that I see and the fact it is an auto. The car looks tired, BUT, none of this matters if: 1) Z's are fairly rare in your neck of the woods 2) The car runs decently 3) The AT doesn't bother you in the least 4) This is the best one you have found so far after searching 5) Getting the car smogged is not an issue in your state/county Then I'd say go for it! Good luck. Davy

Jason, are you actually in Germany? Just curious. Also, try posting on the L6 (6 cyl ) board on this site and asking the guys if they have one to spare. It's not like the rods are uncommon--they're very common and there are more than a few people who have junk motors. I would think that someone on this site has a spare rod they could send you for cheap! Davy

Welcome, Katie! You'd better give him a kiss for the wonderful car, but I somehow think you probably deserved it! Nice ride!! Davy

Luke, Congrats on your new Z car, but you have got to read the forums on this site for your information. This whole site is about the Z car and was (at least initially) dedicated to the (Chevy) V8Z car. Buy the JTR manual (search) and read it cover to cover. Go to Amazon and find some Z books and read those too. Good luck. To do a specific search, go to the dark blue bar near the top of the screen and click "search." Type in one word or two specific words and try different searches. In time you should find what you need. If post asking questions that have been answered a number of times, you'll get a boot to the head, so beware. Good luck! Davy

Tyson, Love the jacket/shirt--custom, eh? Love the hood vents. Where are they from, MSA? The mirrors also look good, especially black like that. Are they internally adjustable? I'm trying to figure out what the gold rod is at the base. Nice plug for Austin and his kit. He should advertise more. Davy

Healthy debate wanted....should I flame my Z?
DavyZ replied to v8wannabe2's topic in Body Kits & Paint
The photoshop looks pretty darn cool! Oh, BTW, I laughed when I saw your flame template made from cardboard, but then I remembered that's all you need to make all those flame shapes---wicked. Davy -
The position of the skeleton looks, well, just wrong... Forgive me for being crude and childish, but it looks like necrophilia in the worst way. Pelvis should be lower IMO. Other than that, wow! Davy

Perfect. The car doesn't need 6" sticking out from the front of the car to make it look 'transformed' into something unique. I personally don't hate the G-nose' date=' but I can take it or leave it. I think 1 or 2 inches in a 'nose' is perfect. Cripes! Wow. Do you grow for the major Australian vintners or just NZ? Any brands I might know? The wines from your part of the world have really come into their own and becoming quite popular in the US, even on the coast where there is prime wine country. If I'm ever in NZ, I'll have to look you up! Davy

My thoughts exactly when I first read it, but wanted to take advantage of the sale first LOL Davy

Blood red tie looks "appropriate." Davy

You're the first one I have ever heard having been able to manually push it out that easily, but I do believe you. It's possible, especially if the previous owner had removed it before and then lubed it. Nice. Davy

Oh, I'm sure that there are errors in this information--no doubt about that. I mean, I'm reading these quotes and I find myself saying, "Oh, I'm so sure that he really did say that." It's all in good fun, but never believe accuracy on stuff like this. I never bothered to verify anything--I just enjoy laughing!! Davy

Beer Theories "Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, it is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Babe Ruth ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." ~ Lyndon B. Johnson ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools." ~ Ernest Hemingway ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." ~ Paul Hornung ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not." ~ H. L. Mencken ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!" ~ George Bernard Shaw ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." ~ Benjamin Franklin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." ~ Dave Barry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BEER: HELPING UGLY PEOPLE HAVE SEX SINCE 3000 B.C.! ~ W. C. Fields ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remember "I" before "E", except in Budweiser. ~ Professor Irwin Corey ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a Support Group. Salvation in a can! ~ Leo Durocher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin explained the" Buffalo Theory" to his buddy Norm: "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members! In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers." I thought this stuff was too funny not to post Davy
