  1. now your being far too nice! No worries.......... I see what you mean.
  2. have you tried ebay?...bone yard.....or the Parts Wanted subforum?
  3. Be nice Paul........Chrysler! I dont see that at all!
  4. I know its a repost but I like it soooooo much. It captures the original lines while looking very modern. I love well done retro! Its like fashion ...whats old is eventualy new again.
  5. I have no idea how long its been there.....came upon it on Monday. Thanx
  6. My god...and look at the size of its droppings!
  7. I own a S13 lapping car and a 240Z street with RB20 and both platforms have great potential for performance. Both can handle the RB26 very well and both can be made to handle . You need to define how much performance you are looking for....what kind....and how you will use it. Now the looks department starts to seperate the cars...while the S15 is a very attractive car.....its not as nice as the old skool lines of a 240Z. But thats my personal opnion. On the other hand I think this view is taken by many others as I can think of many times I have been approached and followed by people that admire the S30 lines. I doubt this will happen with a S15 ...not for another 25 years anyway..... As far as how hard is it to build up the cars......if I can do what I have accomplished with my 240Z....anyone can. Its a matter of want desire and motivation.....and of course money plays a role. Know how and skill can be developed over time...Im living proof....lol! Here is my Z ... www.ontariozcar.com It sounds like you want classic ...collector.....keep sake....."special"...I say go for the 240Z.
  8. It's sentimental...replace a 6 cylinder with a much improved 6 cylinder. Why not a Chevy V8...its not part of the question.... And I continue to believe that 500hp does not make a great street machine out of a car thats less than 2400 pounds and nearly 40 years old. But thats me....
  9. Ive done a Rb20...its great, I love it but if I was to do it again...RB25 for sure! The 25s are a lot cheaper now and they can be built real strong. And its a modern NISSAN 6 banger. Ive also done the L31 ...great setup, had a lot of fun with the torque .....but it was a bit racy for my older ars. LOL The RB is a modern computer contolled fuel efficient smooth engine that is true to the original intent! Why pick the SR 4 banger when you can have a smoother 6 shot. Get the water cannon ready for the flames.
  10. As a seller, I have sold many many items on ebay and by other internet means...almost all payments being through Paypal. Paypal fees cover many of my store front costs...my bank, my cash register lease, my book keeper...my lawyer.....security...etc. My prices include this overhead...I cant fathom any reason to ask the buyer to pay for this service as a extra adder. Its like brick and morter stores asking for a percentage on top of the purchase price. I wouldnt pay this to a "real" store and sure as hell wouldnt to a web store. I suggest you stay away from these hams. Silent protest works!
  11. I once kneeled on an underground bee nest to do some work on an outboard.....It tool me a second to figure out what was happening ...by then they were all around me. I ran into he lake taking my pants off as I went....while flaying my arm around. My legs and ass were all bitten and my famility laughed for hours. Thank goodness it wasnt a flock of cicada killers!
  12. Thank you...I never did receive my hard copy! :cry2::cry2:
  13. Gear manufacturers use cryohenics to increase harness and toughness. Its not snake oil when done right..."right" being proper soak time and temperature. When done correctly its at least 48 hours in liquid nitrogen....-196C.... It is done to convert remaining austinite to Martensitic structure thus making the steel harder while retaining a level of toughness. Most of this conversion happens during heat treating but residual austinite is always present....and unwanted. Unless you are running at the edge I doubt you will ever benefit from this treatment. And careless is correct you should measure everything afterwards...martinsite takes up a different volume that austinite so in theory size change can occur. It should be incorporated into the design of the part....not an after thought.
  14. Nice looking car..... considering each one was built to different standards better inspect it closely to try to weed out any surprises.
  15. THis outfit has a motorcycle version....and the kits are reasonably priced http://www.deman-motorsport.com/ Im thinking of getting one myself for my next project.

    Aluminum Dash

Agreed but nobody seems to....? A different blank that would allow 2 more bends at each end. I say 2 in order to prevent a sharp corner. The center flat would be pie shaped. Im not being very clear am I ........ filler panels dont have a clean finished appearance.
  17. A tear comes to me every time I see hurt Z.....sorry man!

    Aluminum Dash

Very Nice!!! Your's is PRO! The only thing I dont like about Al dashes is you can peak from the side. They dont wrap>>>>>
  19. I can see the appeal of making a splitter..its easy! But not in great demand. Create a product with the widest appeal. The problem with interior pieces is you need to create 6 molds. But every S30 has cracked panels! And so on...pros and cons with everthing!!
  20. Nice detail job on the RB...I wish I had a RHD!!!!! Understanding its work in progress......Why do you still have a coil in he engine bay??!! Yank it it.......................
  21. Sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through. It happened to me many years ago on a RB engine. Never did get it or my money back. It was some guy named Aaron in Ocala Fl....and yes it was a "business" with a web site and so on. Now I dont by anything that is still on the boat! Hope this doesnt happen to you! BTW it sounds like these guys are not the actual exporter from Japan! There are a few Canadian importers of JDM engines out of Montreal and my guess is Jizzpro is just buying from them. Good luck!!
