  1. You just have to deal with the starter interlock system and the reverse light. Just look up the colors in a wiring diagram and jump the interlock ones together, and connect the reverse switch on the manual trans to the other pair. They are part of the same harness, near the front of the trans tunnel. Also, if the car is stock, some emissions systems will not work as the ECU will think it's always in park or neutral (so it will start), and thus, the EGR and possibly some other components won't work. Mario
  2. http://www.buygpsnow.com/GlobalTop-HG-100-HUD-Bluetooth-GPS-Receiver-w-Speed-Meter-(51ch-MTK--5Hz--WAAS)-(Your-Choice-of-Free-Mount)__931.aspx Then there's that. Supposedly it responds pretty quick. I'm torn between that and a motorcycle HUD for my car. Mario
  3. Pretty sure that's the headlight's fuseable link. Mario
  4. http://www.azspeed-marine.com/furaex.html $1 an inch here. From what i recall, azspeed has been posted about in the past. Mario
  5. You're in Tucson?! Have you checked out the TucsonZClub? Sorry for going off topic... Mario
  6. Nope, it's not an RPM issue. The RPM input comes from the optical dizzy. We changed the ground on the CHTS to use the same ground as the MS box. After we changed that, flicking it on will show 450deg, then it will settle down around 270-290deg, and flicker every now and then to 170deg. I'm going to see if we can run it as a pusher in between the IC and rad, and the power to it on the passenger fender. Mario
  7. On my friend's L28ET swapped 280z, we are having this weird issue. It seems that the CHTS reads off, but thats not the weird part. If we turn on the electric fan, it will go crazy! Sometimes hitting 350deg indicated, all very rapidly. Then it will settle down around 170deg, with spikes in the upper 200s. (170 sounds right, with the 160deg thermostat). If you flick the fan off, again, it goes nuts, sometimes killing the engine if the idle is low, as it throws the enrichments off. Any ideas? Mario
  8. MSnS-E can be set to do that. The volvo guys sell (or used to) a kit that came with a boost solenoid and all the little bits and parts to wire it up. Mario
  9. Way cool list! I'm actually working on a similar project with a Honda N600. We also picked up 2 Z600's that we aren't sure what we are going to do with first haha. Mario
  10. Isn't the problem the fact that both companies use something that either bolts or welds in to the framerails? I think the problem is the distance from rail to rail is different on the cars right? Mario
  11. I saw your post on sr20-forum that it was sold! What a cool car... Insparation for my B13 SE-R... Can I ask, what's up with sr20forum and sr20-forum? It seems like the members won't mention each by name (calling it the old forum, the other forum, replace this with that, etc). Mario
  12. It looks like a modified MSA kit. Why don't you ask the owner? He's a member here: http://forums.hybridz.org/member.php?u=16951 Mario
  13. Hmm, I think you should direct that at Alex. Seats are a ways away, gotta get the 600cc heart running first! Mario
  14. Do you have bump steer spacers? On mine it started doing this, one of them had gotten slightly loose, and I guess it would only move slightly under heavy braking. Mario
  15. Read the terms of use (I think) and you'll see why they don't. I've been using crazedlist.org forever now and love it's region searching too. Mario
  16. Big-Phil! A thought on the turbo, don't diesels have lower exhaust gas temps? The turbo might just not be up for the heat your gasser makes. And, DON'T SELL YOUR CAR!!! Mario
  17. Thanks Alex! I think I'm going to get some for my Honda N600 project. Mario
  18. Do they flex a lot or are they fairly stiff? Thanks, Mario
  19. Every girl I've taken in my Z (some back when it was NA, others now turbo'd) loved it!!! Oh man, especially if we cruised by downtown, they just loved all the stares. I had one tell me that it felt faster then her friend's z32tt... Mario
  20. Check your cat. If it's clogged or if your mixture is off, you could be cooking it. Mario
  21. Maybe spark set to inverted? Dwell set wrong? Post up screens of your settings, or at least an MSQ. With only this info it's kinda a shot in the dark... Mario
  22. I find a regular jack works easier then a tranny one. Just make sure the car is (safely) elevated enough to clear the bell housing. It's cake. Mario
  23. Personally, I would run this flange: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-T4-and-T3-turbo-header-manifold-adapter-to-T4-flange_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ002QQitemZ120261496174QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Mario
  24. That's RIDICULOUS!!!! These JZs are amazing!!!!!! Mario
  25. Don't some (cheaper) production cars have them as well? I can't remember if it was a Quest Minivan or Subaru Legacy Wagon that had them but I know I've encountered them before. When it tripped, you would click it back to the "ON" side, just like a circuit breaker in your home. Hmm... I'm getting set to rewire mine as well, I'm definitely going to look into this more. Mario
