  1. The majority of the cores are mass produced by few companies overseas. All they do is slap on endtanks and a logo.... I don't think they're really precision peices... Mario
  2. Well, unless they have been changed one of the major beefs was glued together housings, and thrust play. Mario
  3. Yep, supercharger. I've seen a few 283s on craigslist here, but they seem to be higher in price then what you can find them at. Mario
  4. OUCH!!! To both stories! Mario
  5. Cool! I was actually searching around and I like the idea of the 302 because of the revs and the ability to use the SC I have. Mario
  6. I don't know if it has been upgraded, but it used to be that use of the table generator was strongly discouraged with boosted applications. What I would do is put in one of the maps here (Moby's and others that have been posted), extrapolate the data to your desired kPa (usually boost level plus atmospheric and a buffer in kPa), then tune it with a wideband. Mario
  7. Please spill the beans!!! So are you saying I can run distributorless ignition with a modified/capped off dizzy?? Hmm... but isn't one of the problems is play in the dizzy drive shaft that can cause bad timing/signal in the first place?? Mario
  8. See what's weird is I have mine mounted to a metal plate near where the OEM coil used to go (it has an MSD Blaster on it now I think...). Never had a problem until it came loose and shorted out (like a week after it happened to you Prox haha). Put it back on with some thermal paste (and lock washers) and no problems at all. It doesn't get that warm in Flagstaff though, maybe here in Tucson I'll have to mount it on a heatsink... Mario
  9. It routes differently, is of different length, and in some models might even exit on the wrong side. Mario
  10. Not that I know of... I know that some Swedish (I think... maybe some other place in Europe) Volvo guys do is place the MS board into the original ECU box with the original plug and run everything almost exactly like factory (harness etc included). Apparentyl you can tune MS to pass emissions with just a catalystic converter. Even your KA swap won't be legal in a lot of places unless you swap in ALL the factory emissions equipment (at least thats what I understand of it...). It might be different in Alaska though... Mario
  11. Through the intake means either the timing is off or it's running lean. I wanna see flames! Mario
  12. If you hit the Prnt Scrn button you can paste the screen shot into MS Paint and save it then upload it or attach it to the message here. Sounds and looks good, my dad just installed a 6 puck sprung clutch in my ZXT since the stock replacement one can't hold it anymore. Can't wait till its broken in! (Though I feel bad because I was too far away to help him) Mario
  13. A VH41DETT with a 6 speed and a LSD out back. That and bodywork!!! Mario
  14. The ignitions settings on the newer codes are all I can think of that are different then the old 021u code. Try checking those. Also when you update the firmware make sure that you are running the new MT as well with the right ini initialized. Mario
  15. This is from a 79: http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/wiringdiagrams/79_280zx_wiring.gif The fusebox is in the center. Mario
  16. And the odometer reads 105000, when they roll over at 99999... Mario
  17. Maybe that's the "experimental" part of this code. Your code is way outdated now, maybe try updating it to the newer firmware and MT. Good luck! I wanna get this to throw on my ZXT! Mario
  18. Nice TV! Seriously though... looks awesome! Was Full-Race the ones that did the manifold for the PINKS Z? Mario
  19. Well I haven't checked in Tucson, but in Flagstaff NO ONE would touch the car. Only this one independant shop that was owned by a guy that raced and restored old Porsches... I had to be there (with my friend) with tools to yank on things such as the slotted rears and a thin wrench for the front camber bushings. I'll look into the offroad shock boots. Mario
  20. Is there any "quick boots" that would fit our cars? I don't want to mess with my alignment changing mine since I can't go to any shop and have it aligned (suspension mods)... Mario
  21. BlueOvalZ... He's a member here... He has the car in his sig... It is sooooo bad ass!!! Mario
