Mobious5
i agree it looks like it might be missing something, nevertheless it looks really good! did you use a combo of sheet metal and bondo to form the rear? looks like it may have been tricky.... good job! mylesblaq
i agree it looks like it might be missing something, nevertheless it looks really good! did you use a combo of sheet metal and bondo to form the rear? looks like it may have been tricky.... good job! I made the measurements, went to a local roofing and sheet metal shop, and the guy there made the piece free of charge. I had to cut it in half just so I could manage the piece better. Tack weld and use bondo to smooth out the corners and bottom. I wanted the piece to cover the lip at the bottom but my friend said it would very difficult to weld and it would take a lot more than bondo to get a smooth finish look. So........... I agree myself that it seems to be missing something, but the more I look at it and the more I drive it, the more I like it. Maybe someday that missing something will come to me! m1ghtymaxXx
i'm goin to pick this up this weekend in the middle of bfe nebraska. sat for 3 years put a battery in her and she started right up and ran great with the old gas in it. i was told it originally came from california about 10 years ago. 7 of those years it stayed inside of a garage and was never driven in snow. for the last 3 its been sitting outside. seems to be in decent shape and for $500 who can complain. it comes with an 81 2+2 with fried wiring. note. never put battery in backwards lol Got more pics of the rims? Looks some pretty serious offset on the rear
83zxowner
haha yeah the offset is pretty huge. they stick out quite a bit. they have smaller tires on right now that are stretched on so they dont rub on the back. i can get some more pics of it by friday or sat though
Gollum
Imo the shaved rear makes the tail lights stick out like a sore thumb. I can see why some of the other modified rear ends i've seen on S130 cars have used different tail lights. Even the stock ones would be fine if you could find a way to recess them in a bit to make them more flush, might be pretty cool even. Gollum, it's funny you say that because I'm in the process of making some custom flush-mount taillights. Maybe that's what's missing. I'll take pic when I finish. Thanks! Jake_Goldstein
Here's our 280ZXTX, a Texas-themed artcar. It's getting MegaSquirt and a turbo this summer, and then it'll be an artcar/racecar. The doors are cut out with stained glass inserts (plastic, really), and lit from inside. The back window has a stained glass Texas map and flag. The bumpers were removed, and we made custom Texas shaped mini-bumpers that hang on the horns. Floors and rails have been redone. Those T-tops are both cool and leaky. Thanks for all the good advice I've learned reading hybridz.org.

Gollum
As one who's owed both, I can really appreciate the auto to manual Air system conversion. Overall that's one extremely well kept Z, props out to ya. Pretty much all the Z cars I've owned have all been well used and abused so I just end up stripping them all down to what's still worth having, but yours seems to be quite the opposite.
