Turbo Intake Plenum

Recommended Posts

that manifold looks similar (as in lengthy and tubular) to one my friend is using in Aussie... thehelix112. BUT yours is reversed engineered by placing the turbo towards front of the engine bay and way crazy w/ the length of the tubing... but it's very sexy!

misuse of the word "reversed engineered"

I hope you meant to say his manifold is just reversed from your buddy's.

Yeah' date=' speaking of desmodromic valves, DEVAS wouldn't be out of place on this engine...LOL

What's that, just another $50K...[/quote']

there's Tony with the ol' DEVAS system.

You'd probably have an easier time convincing an engineering student to make you a camless valvetrain as a design project than to get a DEVAS system on the L6. (never mind the fact that their website is terribly out of date)

Monzter, Good show. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Are you going to mirror finish the interior surfaces?

Oh good grief! :eek2:

:iagree:

fifty bucks says the manifolds get bolted onto a junkyard L28ET :lmao:

IMHO thats the only way to properly break in parts like this.. by BLOWING UP a junkyard motor.

holy fookin cow man, i am just.. speechless.

The search to find out what the hell you're talking about led me to the Atlas F1 Bulletin Board which has a lot of great reading, so thanks!

The CNC work is finished, now it on to finishing up the welding of the two halves, the vacuum plenum covers, and the Wiggins fittings. BTW the logo on the cover, SDE Components is my little side company. I thought it needed something there so I put my logo on it :-D

AMAZING! thats alll I have to say...and that i thought you where going to tape it together and throw it on a flow bench first??

It’s not welded yet, just held together with the dowel pins. I will weld all of the fittings and vacuum rail covers first, test it, then weld the two halves last.
