hwvigo
Here is my 75 with a SBC back on the road after a full suspension refresh. I need to trim the exhaust and would love some input on what might be a good idea on how to finish them out after the trim.
PLATA
^^^^ Paint the muffler black , cut 75% of the raw tips and put chrome tips FWIW

From the pics , the muffler is too far back . IMO , the muffler looks better in front of diff if rear bumper is deleted .
Domzs
Thanks guys, picture was taken in Murrieta. Here's a few more of the exhaust. Just got it done this past weekend. Exhaust tips look good but would be better w/o bands . I'd tack weld them , 3 or 4 tacks ( small beads )
~KnuckleDuster~
Exhaust tips look good but would be better w/o bands . I'd tack weld them , 3 or 4 tacks ( small beads ) Yeah I agree, I could have paid a little more for the weld on tips but I wanted the option to change them out if I got bored with them. These are brushed aluminum, I could always change to chrome, gloss black or satin black. I may eventually weld them in place because looking at the clamps does detract from the overall cleanliness. hwvigo
^^^^ Paint the muffler black , cut 75% of the raw tips and put chrome tips FWIW Well I did what PLATA suggested and .... I love the way it came out thanks for the ideas. Kinda agree with Plata but it looks like you need to redo the muffler and tip(s) . From the pics , the muffler is too far back . IMO , the muffler looks better in front of diff if rear bumper is deleted . Domzs I plan on a new motor in the hopefully near future and the whole new exhaust will come with that stage for now I am in the save money for more parts stage. but I totally agree with you on muffler location after a bumper delete.
