  1. shipping might be rough, but check out Weldcraft Wheels. thats where i asked around and widening wasnt that unreasonable, IF you HAD to have the rewinds in 8" wide...
  2. anyone hear good things about the BFG G-Force's (KDY and KDW maybe???) thier ads give impressive results on the g-forces they pull on those tires...then again they are just ads...
  3. you could just do water injection and build your own setup like i might do...
  4. how much do those cranks go for? I think it would be better spent on a good Alky injection system, and just up the boost. my $0.000000002
  5. if they are the same tb's as the 'busa (might be harder to come by if they are different), ive seen one of those turbo'd. (ps, i dont know anything about bikes!)
  6. ME TOO! gf is fillipino also, but her parents talk way too fast and mumble too much for me to understand any of it lol
  7. i thought i had welded the strut tubes together straight, but was a little off, so i tightened down the gland nut and gave the strut tube a whack and it centered itself! imagine that an another note: they guys (and gals) over at techno toy tuning are making many suspention parts, normally just for the AE86 guys, but i checked them out and they have stuff for the Z cars. thier weld in camber plates go for $170/pair, cheaper than the AZC plates ($99/corner). i have neither so i cant comment on quality. I might pick up a set for my rears...
  8. Again, when wiring up the pigtails, does the 12V+ or ground matter on the injector?
  9. hey do you have the specs given to ross for the pistons and the price they gave you? ive been getting the run-around from the local shops around here looking for some pistons...
  10. you could get more from it if you peiced it out definitely...its just if you want to do the work...
  11. how come everyone forks out the good ideas AFTER i do it all? lol. i never even considered using a pipe cutter or angle iron...i guess im not the engineer i believed myself to be lol. I thought i had read that people were using the softer rates in from and the stiffer rates in rear, i dont have a big V8 either, maybe that makes a difference what rates to use...
  12. angle iron is what i will be doing next time...i wasnt that smart first time around. i didnt get the suspension from AZC, but i got 225 front and 250 rear from ground control, they are eibachs
  13. i guess i should have specified...dished forged pistons for the KA24. sorry.
  14. searched but couldnt get a difinitive answer, but would the block be weakened too much for a 20 psi max turbo motor to be bored out to 89mm to use the KA24 pistons? these seem to be easier/cheaper to get than custom pistons
  15. the NA MK3 supra clips DO WORK. just went to the pic/part and they were $0.50 each. long live junkyards! I was in the process of setting mine up, does the polarity of the injector matter when connecting to MS? (+'''-) or (-'''+)?
  16. so if i want to use the stock 83 zxt dizzy and the VB921 to fire ignition, what modifications to the board itself needs to be done?
  17. couldnt you just convert to a dry sump system and run it off of that? seems to me like you would be killing two birds with one stone...
  18. maybe your supposed to use 4 .020" and 1 .015" for each cam tower...that would put it at .075" which the rest of the slack might be taken up by the tensioner...seems logical to me... btw, how much does one of those shim sets go for?
  19. what if you isolated the IAT by making a larger hole then threading the IAT in a material that will not be affected as much by the heat soak (maybe delrin or another composite material) then threading this into the larger hole? might work...shine some light through any holes in this theory...
  20. yes sorry about that...thank you for re-naming it. as far as using the GM HEI, will there need to be any changes to the board itself?
  21. i got the MSI v.3.0 and no stim board and innovative LC1 WB and it was a little over $700...so that sounds right
  22. the problem that might arise with that is that it will leave a lip on the inside of the cut, but i guess that it can be easily grinded away, now that i think about it that would be a pretty good idea! or cut it on a lathe if you happen to have one in your garage...
  23. well without any info to go off of, how is one to search for these (or any) engine? I understand the need to keep the HybridZ database as accurate and as un-repetitive as possible, but if we just say "LY Head", or Naps Z, then they will know what to search for to find more info in these cars. maybe I see this viewpoint because i am still part newb, while you are one of the "veterans" of this forum, no disrespect to you at all...just tryin to k keep it friendly lets not bash the :newbie:'s! we all were one at some time!
  24. if you are sectioning the struts, precision is the key, make sure you cut everything as straight as you can, this will save from many headaches later, as the illuminas i used fit very tight inside the strut tube. the band-saw i used cut everything at a slight angle, so i had to grind and fill gaps with my questionable welding skills, leading one of them to be slightly off and i had to whack it a few times to get the gland nut on. but other than that, take good measurements, and it was pretty straight-foreward! I will be doing them again on another car so i might do a photo step by step on how its done...
