  5. Well, the choice comes down to you and what you intend to use the car for. The LSx drivetrain is truly amazing and hasn't reached it's potential yet. . The 2JZGTE has a proven recipe for power. it has been duplicated over and over. If you want gas mileage, then the LSx T56 combo would net you better mileage than I see with my 2JZ, even with my 3:36 rear end, as the TH400 is only a 3 speed (no OD). Either way, you'll ahve a potentride. If you choose to go the 2JZGTE route, just remember, the drivetrain is the inexpensive part. The expensive part comes with all of the add-ons (intercooler, turbo, engine management, injectors, fuel system, BRAKES, suspension, yadda, yadda, yadda) Just my .02 Mike
  6. LOL I am going to Miami for nearly 3 months for Boeing 727 Flight Engineer/First Officer training, leaving this weekend, so the car will be stored. I have had a few offers to "take care of it for me" while I am gone, but I have had to decline them

I'm not sure how far Darlington is from us in in Orlando, but if it is a nice track and the owners are reasonable, maybe a future SEZ could be held there. Maybe having something in SC may draw some of the northeastern guys down.

  13. Sounds like you may have received an improperly labeled gasket.
  14. You won't really lose power, but you will probably gain a little lag between shifts.
  15. You'd probably be better off with the 15/16 280zx master cylinder due to the extra volume for the large brakes. That was the route I chose as well, even though I went with the Arizona Z kits...
  16. At those power levels, you'll require an alternate transmission for the L28 as well...just something ELSE to think about...

  18. I have to agree with the "more ponies". I just sold my daily driver 240z and the the 350z that I am driving now is not nearly as much fun, but it does have it's advantages, like being able to talk on the phone while on the highway, no exhaust fumes, more comfortable ride, better headlights and way better wipers. It is a rather boring ride and the car feels heavy, but I think all that will change in the next 6 months or so as I will be in the market for a power adder

  20. I was ver staisfied with the ACT I used to run. It handled everything I threw at it and is now happily residing in another high HP turbo car.
