  1. It was a joke. Is this going to be a tow only vehicle? Or are you going to DD it?
  2. Just let me know when you plan on towing something, and your route. Thanks!
  3. I need an AAC valve from a TwinTurbo 300ZX. The AAC is different between the NA and the turbo motors, I need the turbo one. Let me know what you have!
  4. So, you have the Megasquirt-I kit. With that one, you cannot use the MS2 or MS3 firmware. You have to use the MS-I firmware. To get fuel and spark, you'll need MS1-Extra. See http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_Extra_Software_Manual.htm#insfirm.
  5. Yeah, If you can talk him down to low to mid 3000s, I would take it.
  6. First one I played with was my parents 486 DX2 @ 66MHz. I first used DOS and then my parents got Win95. 20 years later I am a computer science major... although I can't integrate for the life of me...
  7. Which board and which processor do you have? IIRC, you have to download a new bootloader then load the firmware for the MS-Extra codes. Have you tried using another USB Serial adapter? Or a computer with a serial port?
  8. They still exist, and they have computers in them now.
  9. Is there going to be an green RB powered Z appearing in the near future?
  10. 3-1/2 and a 5-1/4 combo drive? Luxury, that is.
  11. I was referring to the "to" in "Are we to cocky?", but that works too. Thanks!
  12. When is the title of this thread going to be fixed? It irks me.
  13. Your life is an interference engine? Looks good!
  14. Yes, custom manifolds are almost a requirement. But there's so much space up front, it's not much of a challenge.
  15. Yes, I'm liking this design more and more. I want to be able to swap back to the L when the VG inevitably blows up. Keeping the same transmission cross-member unmodified is also a plus. That and it's still a FMR setup.
  16. I'm the: F(A) = "Constantly read up about A, buy A, adjust A, test A, break A, oh I might as well get a new B while I'm at it, then F(, then finish A" type. It's recursive, is what I'm saying. In other words, my projects are never finished. Maybe you CS types will understand...
  17. Huh? Me and my wife have between us, A 77, a 92TT, and a '04 Enthusiast. The 92TT is the most expensive to maintain, with the 350Z behind it, and the S30 way behind it. That's just maintenance. The only bolt-ons for the 350Z are expensive, and the only ones that are really worth anything are a supercharger kit or turbocharger. And those are real cheap. The Z32 has bolt-ons, but they aren't inexpensive either. Then there's my S30, which has few bolt-ons, but is by far the cheapest to maintain and modify. I think you meant to say "easy" instead of cheap. Easy if you have money, that is.
  18. I hope to get my .50BMG before it is banninated.... But they are so expensive...
  19. Dude, Josh. You should go EFI. Megasquirt for the win!
  20. Welcome. I have a '77 as well. I bought it a couple months ago and am just about done getting it road ready. I'm more used to Z31s but I'm liking my 77 more and more. There's quite a bit of info here, feel free to browse all the sticky'd threads in each of the subforums.
  21. What I heard once, was that high overlap cams aren't always automatically "bad" for turbo cars. If you have a relativity high flowing turbine, you can start to get wild with overlap and get good results. So this cam guy who worked for some race team said. I can't remember, I was about 18 at the time and just started working for a performance shop. There was only so much new information that I could fit in my little brain. What it boiled down to, was that there are too many variables to always claim that cams are bad for turbo cars. Unless we are talking about OEM turbos.
  22. Ok, I was a little harsh as well.... Welcome to the site. There's tons of info in "sticky's" within each of the subforums.
