  1. I have seen that stuff before...pretty cool stuff. I may do another sketch today. I am leaving Monday so I am a little busy now packing and getting the Z ready to go into dormancy....
  2. ignore the turn signals... http://forums.hybridz.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=840&d=1151500286 I'd consider it if you gave me a 3.2 rebello special...or if someone gets me a turbo motor... In fact I'd do a camo Zzap! for that motor...
  3. If you see the full version he talks about he totaled his 360modena. Look up his name and watch the 10 minute version...
  4. I had done a photo shop of my Z but with black on the bottom and lime green on top.
  5. he had a little instruction... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVj9_8ZBK4s
  6. John Morton 240Z commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9Lt8Z9OEfM My favorite...the 260Z commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viJAjxS6ylU 280Z commercial...somebody saw a UFO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwWpF4DzuAM one of the 280ZXT commercials...
  7. just if it ran... you could machine little gears and pistons and a little crankshaft...and little spark plugs... Anyway that car is AWESOME!!!
  8. there is a lot of travel going on with the radius rod and the poly doesn't want to travel and flex with it. This puts a lot o stress on the mount. I will be waiting to do an adjustable front suspension so I am not going to bother with those bushings.
  9. wow! that guy can drift! I guess it helps to have 700 horses..
  10. sort of lie a box of internet legos? Iwas thinking of something like the Z engine calculator but for the car...like you could selectL24 as the engine, BW T-5 tranny, R160 rear end and what length driveshaft would have to be made and what would have to be done to mount the transmission,etc...we could start it as a database and people keep adding to it. like this: http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/enginedesign/
  11. yeah yeah you can draw...we can sketch... Pretty cool nonetheless... maybe you could come up with something...new...that has not been done before.
  12. me too! I really want to own my own company one day. Once I do this college stuff...lol
  13. I think this kit is a great one for a 280Z. The bumpers are like shaved 280Z bumpers but pushed in a little bit. My neighbor has a 75 with it and it looks really good. The little extension on the bottom of the airdam is not something I would have done but it is interesting. It is definitely show car material but it has a L28ET behind it with what looks like a starion intercooler. Definitely an upgrade from the 280 bumpers like on the right side of the pic.
  14. If you get a HY35W or HX 40 there is a rebuild kit on ebay now or there just was a couple days ago for like $70. FYI...
  15. well the drivers side is not that hard. I would go over the frame rail and cut out the rocker panel and weld in about a third of a 4" pipe so that you can tuck the pipe in close. Sort of like a Daytona Coupe. Instead of running a huge expensive set of pipes I would get some tubing and some glaspack mufflers and turnouts and make it to fit just right. I'd cut out the bottom front corner of the fender too to get the pipe closer to the body.
  16. just kidding ya' Phil... you do some of the best Z videos on the web...
  17. no problem...I was just thinking $100 for a pair of TBIs that you will never out grow or you can keep going from 260cc-440cc-750cc-880cc injectors and spending $$$$ or get a pait of V8 TBIs and forget it...
  18. well we all know phil is awesome on the guitar...he just needs some wetsanding woes... wetsanding is fun...say it!...wetsanding is fun...
  19. I have used the before said dynasty, a big synchrowave (350?) and a bigger dynasty as well. The synchrowave does not have high frequency for HF start or aluminium. You will only be able to do steel and stainless and some other ferrous metals. Not all TIG machines are created equal...you are going to have to fork over 2 grand (unless you can get a great deal) to get high frequency for aluminium.
  20. I would like all those carbs...
  21. How about a video of working on the car...Maybe?
  22. well saying you have an aluminium intercooler it still is keeping a bunch of temperature inside. Granted aluminium is a good conductor of heat but you eed the extra size of a larger intercooler to more effectively cool the charged air. If you can cool the charged air in a shorter time by having a more effective method of evacuating the heat from the charged air then you should be able use a smaller intercooler. This material has been proven as a radiator of heat. Am I wrong here? I believe the number was that this material conducts heat 17 times better than 1000 series aluminium does. Basically what I was told was that it tries to equalize the temperatures of everything it is touching. If you run a nitrous purge or Co2 setup on the intercooler then it will be much more effective at heating up the cooling agent (Co2 or Nos). I'll try to get some more info on it. I'll go look it up now in my stuff.
  23. interesting. I don't know if the converting the stock runners to efi will be worth it though.
  24. like a switch that is the trigger button on an Xbox controller?
