I agree, I once had a guy bring the part to my work and drop it off for me. Only cost me 5 bucks for the delivery. Not quite like having it flown in but, cool anyway.

Yep, No doubt some of the fault of the tranny is due to me and the abuse I put it through a couple of times.

Not trying to continue with bashing but, for 800 bucks and a promised time of delivery. I would think he could have taken the 10 minuites it takes to log on find your e-mail and let you know whats up. I put some pics up on here years ago for Alex and through e-mail contact seemed like a cool guy but, hey, no money was involved. You've lost time to get your project done which sounds to me like is more important than the money for you. I'd still be But, it's not me in this situation.

The V-3 kit is new to me. I have seen several of the carbed cars with the fuel rails wrapped though.

This looks like a good answer to the T-5 proublem some people (myself) have been having. I'd sure be intreasted in seeing what comes of this.

I think I would jack the car up and let someone hit the brakes so see what is moving or not. I've never rebuilt the early style brakes but, I did the 82/83 style last summer and it was very tough.

If the suspension is worn out then I would start with some new shocks and struts along with some performance springs. After that or at the same time some polyurethane bushings. You can take the ZX much futher but, I would say those are the most common and biggest improvements to the ZX. Ofcourse if you do some searching you'll find more and more deatiled info.

Only 2000 hp? Man my Z will do that!

If you serch on this site you'll find a couple of good post about the rear suspension for the 280zx.

Well, it certainly looks like it runs 11's

I gotta first off that I am what I call "Pro Turbo". Having said that if your goal is only 400hp and your going with a SBC then I would do what Tim says and just build it up N/A. Now of you had a bunch of parts laying around and all you needed was a few things then I would say do and shoot for atleast 500hp and make sure your insurence is paid up.

I've had real good luck with KVR pads. Thats what I had on the front of my ZX for years before I upgraded everything. I think you can get them from Ross.
