  1. Is everyone as confused as me? This guy is proubly thinking "What a moron" after reading his own quote.
  2. So did they give you a guesstimate on the cost of have this done?
  3. Thats correct. That tape is some crazy stuff. I've used it before and it does work well except when it gets cold it is hard to apply.
  4. Yes, it can be done. Let me also say this, anything that can be done to reduce the amount of bends in the intecooler pipes should be done if at all possible. We all know that there are certain amounts of bends that you must have no matter what intercooler you have but, turning it around backwards and adding two more 90* bends is not going to help you with keeping pressure loss down. Can you just straighten the fins or are they crushed? Most fins can be strightened if they are not bent to baddly it just takes some time and patience.
  5. Thanks but, I'll pass on it for now.. J/k Anyway it's a 280 Z not a 280ZX
  6. I know what ya mean there running 245/40/17's I have gotten as low as 1.9 60' but, that was only once. As soon as I started getting some good launchs my tranny started to go south and would let me shift without some major grindage. What what are you doing with the Z31 tranny? I gotta come up with a better answer than the current T5 and a trashed 3rd gear synchro.
  7. Sweet. One of these days I'm going to get obe of those and try it. Really like the wideband. Is it only setup thru the msns? Or is it seperate? Nice intercooler.
  8. Not 100% sure that they don't make them but, I've just never seen one. It's been a couple of years since I did any research on flywheels and clutches. I see no reason why with the right clutch you couldn't run a 225mm flywheel. I think their would be several advantages of doing it this way. 1. less weight 2. Less mass at the outer end of the diameter of the flywheel. Same principal as the small mulitplate disc clutchs but, not taken to the extreme
  9. The only Fidanza flywheels I've seen are the 225mm size not the turbo 240mm size. Really, one day I think I'll try the smaller flywheel with a good clutch and see if help like lightening a 240mm unit.
  10. So ya gonna turbo it also right?????? J/k that's really gonna be a tire fryer. Better start getting deals on tires and stocking up.
  11. He told me that to 2 1/2 years ago when I was going to buy one from him. Just so everyone knows he makes his parts and doen not contract them out like some others do. Atleast thats what he told me then.
  12. That thing is sweet. I'll take it!!!
  13. NGK is the OEM plug for Nissan. If you go to the dealer and buy plugs they have a nissan box but, are NGK's. ON3GO, have you tried O'Reily? They sell NGK but, may have to get them from their warehouse so go a day or two ahead of time.
  14. This is becoming one of the best post ever. I love all the historical pics of the Z's. Hope no one minds but, I's saved every pic. and want to put them up on my site eventually.
  15. If you can find a used one for a decent price you might have it lightened by Top End Performance. They get them down to about 17lbs and it seems to work well for a street car. http://www.racetep.com/flywheel.html
  16. Sweet looking setup!!!!! I knew I should have jumped on one of those intake manifolds while James was making them. The fuel filter setup can be found in the Summit catalog.
  17. You can also run the Denso brand of plugs. They have them at Autozone. They are very similar to NGK. I don't have a part # but, they should be able to look it up by application. Just don't tell them that they are going into a 77. Make sure you tell them they are going into the 82/83 model. I'm sure you knew that but, I thought I would add it just in case you had a brain fart.
  18. Do the turbo thing and you'll never look back. I fear no street hemi. That is unless it's in an lamost full race car.
  19. It just depends on whos doing the work, what material is used and how you would want it made. Basic mild steel DP connected to current exhaust would be in the 150.00 or so range depending on the materials cost.
  20. That looks good. Everythings seems to fit nicely.
  21. I've heard the same thing but, it did it anyway and so far it's turned out fine. I did put a fatty weld on it. It's been on for about a year and no cracking so far.
