  1. Put a Fuel pressure gauge on it. Sounds like you have a clog.
  2. It should just clear behind the fan. I ran it the same way with 2.5" piping and mechanical fan. Just make sure your pipe behind the fan is mounted solidly towards the engine. Otherwise it may hit with engine movement.
  3. You should really remove everything before trying to strip it.
  4. That thing looks mean. Nice job on packaging the L too.
  5. I think they are the same. If you happen to need one, I have 2 extras.
  6. Oh god, I gotta go clean myself up now. That really is a work of art.
  7. Most of the outside looks like surface rust. You really need to check the floorboards, frame rails, doglegs, battery tray / firewall. Post those pictures and we can give you a better idea. It doesn't look great but by far not the worst i have seen.
  8. Sounds like you might not be getting fuel. Put a pressure gauge on it.
  9. If you really want the stuff to last a life time, use marine grade vinyl. You can get it online. I pickup a lot of supplies locally at Riggs Brothers auto interiors, but unless you got connections they can be a little pricey. It's a little overkill for cars but if it works in boats that get wet and bake in the sun all day, think how it'll last in a car.
  10. Carlsberg? Where's the Lapinkulta or karhu? Naytaa hyvalta. Mista pain suomea sa olet?
  11. I've used a bunch of different ones. I'd stay away from the asphalt stuff. My overall favorite is probably the Raammat. I use about 2 rolls to do a complete Z.
  12. Yeah, the biggest thing that throws me off is that he claims "It is a 100% rust free1978 Datsun 280Z chassis. When we started building this car we stripped it down to the frame and put it on a frame roller. It was media blasted to remove all the paint and debris then primed, zinc coated, and undercoated. You will never have to worry about rust! Then ALL of the fuel and brake lines were hand shaped and replaced with Stainless steel lines and stainless junction fittings." Then you can slightly see the under side, the is old underbody coating and I can see rust on many of the seems and other spots. Look at the picture of the turbo, you can see the rust and maybe a bent frame rail.
  13. I might be down for a race tonight.
  14. Looks great. The only thing that really bothers me is the fuel cap/filler area. Are you going to have some kind of a cover or filler panel go over that?
  15. Give us a little more information. What did you get for the compression test on all 6 cylinders, what was the FP at? , what is your timing at? Anything you can give us will help. Usually problems that come and go like that are due to wiring. You may have a temporary break or short to ground somewhere. How did you test witch cylinders are cutting out?
  16. If the car really didn't "turn over", that is a completely different issue. I'm pretty sure you are just talking about the fuel pump not getting power though. Also, try to clean up your typing so it's a little easier to read. If the car really didn't turn over you have a battery or wiring problem. As stated before try hot wiring your pump.
  17. That was some funny Sh*t . Too bad it got taken down ) :
