  1. Tough to tell if it's an original with out seeing the Scarab SN and the other identifying features. Additionally it's an automatic so I'm skeptical about it. Ahhh read his ad touting it as an original, wonder what the SN is.

  6. We're talking Scarabs who cares how old the thread is. If the "search" function is used this thread will come up and hopefully help somebody out down the line.
  7. It sounds like you have a Scarab conversion. Of all the "factory" cars we have located only 15 or 16 in the registry. Mine is #154, it wears Panasport wheels (but I have the original BBS's) I had to hunt down a set of valve covers, found an original Scarab radiator, the only things I'm lacking are the Mark 10 ignition and the Momo steering wheel.
  8. I guess I don't understand what you're trying to do.
  9. Consider a 240Z shell? I'm in NW Arkansas, email me a dsommer479@yahoo.com. David

  11. Nice!!! I'm picking up another Z this weekend. Rust free west Texas car. 1971 240 w L28 + 5 speed. Haven't seen the car yet but a buddy of mine has...and he's pi$$ed that he's not getting the deal. Supposedly the interior is toast but that's fine since I have my 240 gutted right now I'll canabilize parts for this one and buy fresh pieces for my 240 "project" Car + nice car hauler flat bed for drum roll....$2K Here is a pic of the trailer, different car (sold 260)
  12. Saw that yesterday, it's not that bad remember it's just paint!!! Check out that rear bumper though...
  13. Bunch of newbs, seach, buy, fit (don't fit) sell move on to next wheel, like me hahaha. Anybody in the market for some Sport Max 002s with the gold finish? I've found something more worthy of my HP goals.
  14. Hats off to our admin, they keep this place safe, clean and respectable!!!
  15. Oh yeah I left the ole "salt mine" Morton Salt for greener (or blacker) pastures about 3 years ago. I now work for BP/Castrol as a replenishment/project manager on the retail auto side. My focus is on Auto Zone and internal processes. I now have the opportunity to attend NHRA, Formula Drift and, NOPI as a volunteer. I luv my job!!!! I still don’t have that 240Z finished. I’ve ripped it all apart and am starting from the ground up, gonna build it right this time.
  16. Anybody going? I will be working the Castrol display (what ever it is this year) Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Gosh I love my job If you're going, swing by and say hey!!! David
  17. Zcarparts.com ie Motorsports sells the nuts I'm sure Courtesy Nissan sells them too. I'd take the assembly to a machine shop and have them remove the axles and nuts for you, trust me it will save you some time. They had to torch one of mine to get it off. Figure your not going to using the 240 stubs again or the nuts because they will be trashed.
  18. When did this group buy begin? Is there a limit to how many gold fish we can get???
  19. Contact Mike at Texas Motorsports http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/pts/617315746.html
  20. Hey Bryan, Post up some pics of the interior. Did you have the roll bar relocated?
  21. Check with Lowes or Home Depot in the speciality fastener hardware section I got some that pop in then you can remove them with a trim tool.
  22. I put the magnets in the oil pan and the heads. Need to order up some more for the oil filter once the car is ready to fire.
  23. Hmmm wonder if a front fender will fit inside my Infiniti???
