  1. I didn't mean anything negitive by my comment, I'm just ignorant to all things alaska. Thanks for the lesson!
  2. Hey stony, I've always had a question for you and never got around to asking it so here goes. Your dropping I would assume huge ammounts of money into this car for the purpose of it go really FAST in the 1/4, 1/8 ect. However unless I'm much mistaken you live in Alaska so here's my question. In Alaska who do you race and where. I thought the highways were in rough shape and salted almost year round and I would think drag racing wouldn't be that popular that far north. I'm just curious is all.
  3. If you need and help, tips or questions answered just PM me.
  4. If you have fluid in you booster then you have no choice, its time for a new booster. The diaphram in that booster is made for vaccume, when brake fluid comes in contact with it will most of the time destory it. Your in luck however the booster is an easy part ot change, I would say 2 hours at most.
  5. Its cool, I just thought I would share. BTW that is a direct copy from a I think 1966 army field manual. I think it was 66' anyway. Cool none the less. EDIT!!! Silencers are legal under federal law but since 1934 you must pay a $200 tax to purchase and submit to an FBI background check. Fingerprints and photos must be provided and a long wait of several months occurs before the paperwork is approved. There is no 'license' needed to own a silencer. State law is a different matter. The following states allow ownership of silencers: AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, ME, MD, MS, MT, NE, ND, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY. Of the sixteen states which do not allow civilian ownership, CA, IA, KS, MA, MO, and MI allow Class-3 dealers and Class-2 manufacturers to own silencers. Woo-Hoo I can use and buy/own a silencer!
  6. Just out of curosity, but does the felony only appy to firearms or do things like paintball markers, airsoft rifles ect. fall in that range as well?
  7. This is a bit off topic, but is gun related. I'd thought I would share it. http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload/bullet/53/PMS2-L.jpg
  8. Also you don't have to get the parts through Mckinney Auto parts, there are many other vendors with cheaper prices. Its just I feel you should be prepared to pay more for a company who has done the research on the parts you are using. Versus some company whose may be cheaper but just threw the part designs together. That’s it I'm off my soap box now.
  9. What do you mean by "those parts seem to be priced for the kind of person that can truly say, "Money is no object." Heck with the costs that I found you can get most of the components to do the swap for under 5K which I though for a motor swap wasn't half bad. I mean really I don't think you can do a "proper" motor swap for les than that. To have the ability NOT to have to deal with wiring, driveshaft angles, fabricating up motor mounts 3 times, ect, to me that’s worth 5k. Yes I could do ALL that myself, but why? If I can avoid the headache you can bet I will.
  10. How are you supposed to get caught going 200+ mph? By the time the police sopt you would be several miles down the freeway. The only way they would be able to catch you and yes I realize that the lambo cannot maintain 200+ mph for long but it CAN maintain 160+ mph which would be more than enough to outrun a persuit. Anyway the only way to catch you would be to radio ahead to the next cop and have them intetcept or use helicopters. I think that you would have time if you noticed the cop that is, to quickly get off at the next exit and be gone forever.
  11. Now that is a good idea, that would really kill all the mice. However that has a similar problem to posin, you have no control where they die. However for the desperate man...that could work VERY WELL.
  12. Its not really car related but I've always had a soft spot this this tune, God Bless the men and boys we have left on foreign soil... I think the members we have Austria will like this
  13. What do you meanby "best yet that its a V6"? I think almost everyone LOVED that I6 that came in that car.
  14. One step closer to rolling down the road!
  15. I dunno maybe in the right light, covered in gas, on fire, it could be nice
  16. I see the shed in your future, so ahead and empty this post before the admins delete it. You can find all the info you need if you search.
  17. Finally what the 350z should have been...lol. Nice clean install!
  18. Also since you fixed the holes in you fender, I would pull them sand down the BACKSIDE and POR-15 them. Think about it, all you seeing is the rust in its final stage by the time its coming through. Go head and kill that rust while its young.
  19. I'm sorry to have to tell you this but if that were my car I would grind off that work you have done on the rear. Your final product looks nice and smooth, you have a good eye for body work it seems. However that weld job and the fact that you drilled holes in it is going to spell trouble for you later on. I don't think that weld will hold for very long with the body twisting and moving about. What you should have done would be to cut the patch panel to fit inside the hole so you could weld it flush with the roll pan, not behind it that should help you get better results. Doing this should also reduce you "bondo" thicknes. To me it looks like you weld was clean it just either A. wasn't turned up enough, B. you had a bad ground, or C. your tip was SHOT on your MIG. The work you did on the other panels looks nice, when you filled the door bumper line you did that very well. Just appy what you learned there to the rear of the car. Good luck with your project.
  20. You could not have picked a better color combo, the body work looks GREAT!
  21. I don't care if it is a Hyundai, that car is going to be so bad ass. I tend to think of Hyundai as Nissan in the 60ies and 70ies, and that hopefully the "Genesis" will be thier 240Z. Woo - Hoo!
  22. Wow what a wonderful sound. BTW I have to ask as someone else already has, What would be the difference in power all things being equal if you used a single cam head? I'm just wondering as I sure others are how much power all that work was worth. I hope you win the poll BTW.
  23. Look I voted for 1 fast z's project, buts Mull's got a GREAT project as well, cant you do both of them?
  24. Roll on Solider, You've made your country proud!
