Frist of all this is a stock 77 280z and I have had this problem before, or at least similiar symtoms. The car sat for about a month and before that time it started and ran fine. I have already cleaned all the contacts ie TPS, head temp, thermotime ect. I just refurbished the gas tank and injectors so there is NO rust in that or any of the filters. I can run a wire from the postive side of the battery to the fuel pump wire and the car will run just fine, however if I don't use said wire the car will run for roughly 2 seconds or so and die as it is not getting any fuel. Now when I had this problem before the AFM wires were loose and the car's fuel pump wasn't getting the signal to start pumping. That isn't the problem this time, as I have cleaned the wires many times and made darn sure that they are plugged in. Does anyone have anyideas why this car is shutting down soon after start up?
