IIRC the Hooker Headers were used with the Scarab setup and will not work with the JTR mounts. How that fits into the MSA mounts I don't know, but looking at those ebay headers, I am very skeptical....

I agree....you bloke's prices are very high. I bet you could buy an Ls1 with gearbox (or transmission, depending on what you want) from the States and have it shipped airfreight to the UK and still be quids ahead. I think that you could find a decent, low mile pullout from a yard here for between $3k and $4k and spend about $800 to ship. THat leaves you another $2-3k ahead. You do not need an aftermarket ECU, unless you want all the bells and whistles, like launch control, NO2 control etc, but you can likely get standalone systems to do all that. The OEM computer can be tuned and editted easily. Tim

To the best of my memory the ZXTs did not have a knock sensor. BTW, you need fuel, compression and spark....check all those.

Jon, I have always had good luck with the local parts store. They seem to be within a couple of bucks of the internet houses.....might be worth a trip through the yellow pages before you rule out the local places......plus its instant gratification Tim

Is it possible that the throttle blade is rubbing on the adapter, or the linkage is hanging up on something? Try disconnecting the linkage from the throttle body and blip the throttle by hand directly at the TB. See if it is going through its motion smoothly.... Only other thing I can think of is vacuum leak somewhere..... Tim BTW...you do have the ability to edit your first post....

Bart, I would say, that at a minimum, you should get a set of the new headers (coated like the ones you have now), for free out of the deal!!! I'm sure that headman can produce a set of headers that are far better than what I whipped up. Since you would be providing the basis for Headmans profits, make sure you get something out of it! For that matter, maybe I should get royalties....
