  1. Sorry to be a critique but that small self tapping machine screw is not going to do anything to save your life in case you are involved in an accident. I am going through alot of pain staking measures to weld and properly modify my seat rails to properly fit a set of aftermarket seats. These types of project are more involved than most think. I know you are excited to install your new "parts" but safety first. Yasin
  2. Sorry for the late chime in, Hugh, thought you were running an external wastegate? Did I miss something? Yasin
  3. Awesome project!! Love that turbo..that car is going to be amazing. Yasin
  4. Just curious what the fascination is with the Blue Interior? Awesome car, enjoy it!! Yasin
  5. Wow you got a nice one for $1800! Very minimal cosmetic work to make it nice. Congrats!!! Yasin
  6. I have been lucky!..Tony and 1 Fast Z...your stories are chilling. Yasin
  7. It makes me happy to see a member on here saved that car. I was tempted several times to scoop it up but I was so far away in Colorado. That car has been discussed here many times, and I think we all were hoping that it would be saved and returned to its former glory. Good luck and congrats. Yasin
  8. Welcome ZUL8TR...that is a beautiful..beautiful car! I love it. Yasin
  9. I ran 1.6" Spacers for 5years on my fairly modded ZX Turbo....no where near 650whp, no issues. Porsche 911 Turbos (pre '89) ALL come with 1" spacers in the rear from the factory and these cars as you know frequently see well north of 500whp but use longer studs not studs on studs like the eBay spacers for our cars. Yasin
  10. Wow some great cars. The RX2 Capella is by far my favorite. But the red Skyline and the Datsun 1200 were fantastic as well. Some clean S30s, AE86s and even the AW11. Yasin
  11. Ok guys got my RB-Rs from Kim, awesome service extra fast shipping..wow! From the time I paid him I had the wheels in 3 days! They are 17x9 with the -13mm offset. Hyper Black 275/40 rear 245/45 front Yokohama S.drives On the rear it looks like they stick out when you initially hang them on the studs and the car is up in the air, I was thinking there is NO way these will tuck..sure enough, its fine once the suspension and car is back on the ground...breath a sigh of relief there! Better pics soon, once I have some more time
  12. Wow..that *really* looks great! Questions: 1) The self adhesive backing are you worried about it peeling off over time? 2) These LEDs are stuck to the outside of the headlight - right? On other words if you did not have the headlight covers it would be open to moisture and the elements etc. Very cool and yes...Audi "take that!" Yasin
  13. A proper well designed exhaust will yield surprising results, as I recenrly discovered. Seems like you have lots of little issues, coil packs, maf, timing..? I like the little girl giggle towards the end of the video. Yasin
  14. With the money and time I could have easily bought another serious car...think Porsche 911 Turbo. I have had my '83 ZX Turbo for close to 10years and it has been wonderful and blissful. In that time I have bought and sold 10+ cars and the ZX has always stayed with me through several moves, several jobs, a marriage a ton of relationships, ups and downs. I rarely drive the car now but ironically every time I waltz into my garage and pull back the cover the car brings a great smile to my face, its a stupide and unexpainable connection I have with the old girl. Looking at it, still makes me feel fortunate that I was lucky to stumble upon the car, rescue it (it was decaying in an alley in Denver), modify it, enjoy it and most importantly make it mine. It will be 27years old soon, and the car is timeless in design and performance. I have raced some pretty wicked cars with it and I have taken down some quick cars and also had my ass handed to me, but its fun at the end of the day and once again its mine. I hope to keep enjoying my ZX in good health for a long time to come. No regrets...and no remorse from my camp. Yasin
  15. I have had Poly urethane Energy Suspension bushings on my TC rods (both sides) since 2003 on my very modified 280ZX Turbo and no issues whatsoever, but do not doubt the issues other members have experienced. Yasin
  16. OK the difference between the N42 block and F54 is? This comment scares me Tony as I am getting ready to do the Haltech conversion on my big $$$ L30 motor...

  18. Go away troll, this is a Datsun Nissan Z forum from 1970 to present, NOT 1970-1978. Yasin
  19. I stand corrected the stock down pipe is in fact 2.5in as previously mentioned by Drax and a few others. I have to discuss with Jon in regards to fabbing up a full 3" unit. Yasin
  20. I took this pic this afternoon. I was so so surprised I went to buy some Z parts and the guy I was buying the parts had this sitting in his awesome garage. It is an '89 (390hp) model sitting on custom made 19" Fikse wheels (I am a wheel whore so was drooling over the wheels alone, much less the car). The car was so gorgeous all I could do was just stare at it. The owner was a great great guy and knows his Datsun Z stuff too (a Ferrari guy that grew up with Datsuns, is that cool or what?). So cool to meet nice people not matter how affluent that are down to earth. He also had a blue printed '70 Chevelle sitting in his garage too! Yasin
  21. Jon - Thanks for coming on board and chiming in - you do great work! I do have a stock cast DP sitting around at home, I will photograph this weekend and put some pics on this thread, to show the 3" at the bottom flange. I am very very happy with the exhaust (the car sounds tough), the sound and of course the significant power increases, throttle response and driveability from 1K to redline is much imprroved. The comedy is that when I pulled up to the dyno everyone thought that I had put a LS1 in the car, it was funny. I shall do a YouTube Vid to give everyone an idea. I still have to put a tip on the car so that is next. Good thread. Yasin
  22. Kevin has had the truck for over 3years maybe 4 and it is registered in Cali. I hooked him up. Yasin
  23. Wow. Joe..good find brother! That is in fact my old girl that I put every cent and sweat into. I must say, I write a good eBay ad. He copied it verbatim..LOL, when I sold it 5years ago, so yes that ad is 5years old. I sold it to a guy in New York and then he sold it to Kevin who is the guy now listing it on eBay. I am not sure why Kevin did not photograph the truck in SoCal where he lives where the scenery is awesome. Some of his pics in that listing are 10+years old - no joke! Kind of strange as he sells alot of electronic stuff, you think he would have a good digi cam? Anyway weird seeing here on eBay... I do miss her. Yasin
