Yeah I love jays 2+2. I wouldnt mess with the window or roof. Its all about taking time to pick colors, styling, etc. Dont just pick some flashy color and glue on a MSA type 3, it doesnt make the car look nice. I took the time on my car (seems like grey is a good color for the 2+2) and it came out great. The length which can make some 2+2's look like crap actually helps the car look sleeker and lower.

Gorgeous! I do like that you painted the flares blue, looks alot better. Again, amazing car.

May I ask why there isnt a return line on the oil pan for a turbo...... I think it needs one.

Its reputation. Go into your user control panel and look at the very bottom. People give you rep for being nice, cool, helpful, etc. To show you in the case that no one has given you rep ( which of course means your not any of those ) Ill give you some rep. So go look at your UCP.

This might get more response in the TURBO section not drivetrain. Junkyard components are usually great buys. Just check over the parts in this case look for cracks in the manifold.

Im sure the a new Z is the first thing he will be paying. I doubt hes going to get off with no fines/damage payments. As for getting insurance, very good idea. Alot of time in WA if you get a ticket for not having insurance if you go get it and then take it downtown and show them theyll drop the ticket. It would thought show whoevers in charge this kid learned his lesson. Good luck. BTW when do you find out more? Is there a court date or something?

Little more info. Im pretty sure its just the battery (fuel pump thing is throwing me off) but I put a long screw driver across the battery terminals after pulling it out of the car and nothing. Moved it around a little and got one small red spark. Usually connecting it will make a good size spark so Im pretty sure its just the battery but why would the fuel pump have stayed on? Would it have something to do with the leak? That it couldnt build pressure? Or is the fuel pump just set to run a certain time not until a certain pressure is reached. Thanks

Finally swapped out the battery from my 81 into my 78 to try and start it... Put the key in and turned it and the fuel pump turned on as normal. Then it never turned off. After about 20 sec I pull the key and go look under the car. There is a very small amount of gas under the pump, no biggie. So I try it again, and now the pump wont even turn on. Also when you stick the key in its at 12V but as soon as you turn it the battery goes down really low, turn it back and the gauge is back up. So now the pump doesnt turn on, the car wont crank (only got it to click once). Does this sound like just a dead battery or what? Im still working on it but hopefully someone can give me some ideas on what to check. Id love to fire my car up tonight! Thanks

Is this one of the cars nissan restored themselves with basically all new parts. If so looks like someone else got a hold of it after that and installed all the goodies. Great looking car.

I know you solved the throttle stick issue but figured Id mention another possible thing that can cause it. (for future members searching) If your throttle stop screw isnt screwed in far enough the throttle plate will close so far that it actually wedges itself into the throttle body opening. Way to fix it is obviously run the screw in alittle. Im not sure how this affects the idle air control since I removed all of that before I had that problem.

Thats insane! That car was pretty messed up. A family friend wrapped his new gt500 around a tree. He says its the worst gt500 wreck on this side of the mississippi. He also walked away from it. Ill have to get some pictures of it.

Ive got a ~3ft standard wire feed tank and it costs $40 to fill it with an argon/co2 mix. I think thats a little higher than other places in town but it was close and I needed gas.

To be honest, looks like something youd put on a 4 door sedan that you want to look "cool."

Im 18 as well and have had my "incident" with the police and the best thing to do is just be honest and humble. Dont try to make excuses or justify things, just tell it how it is and express your apologies. Its probably all you can do at this point. What kind of car was the other person driving?

Id do really dangerous stuff that would usually kill you. Since Id have 24 hours to live, none of the stuff would actually kill me till the 24 hours came. Then Id still die doing something dangerous.

I would not go adjusting the afm. Odds are its still set to factory settings. If you do solve the ACTUAL problem the car may still run like crap cause the afm is out of adjustment and youd have no idea.

Turbo engines didnt even come with the cold start injector. Dude, cut off the mullet....

Yeah Ive got the smaller version of those. Im gonna go look to see if they have those.
